Well, we are at the end of the offseason and preseason. For my Leafs it looked like it was a very successful one's. Losing minimal parts and gaining back guys that are much more Randy Carlyle type players in David Clarkson, Dave Bolland and the addition of future stud goalie, Jonathan Bernier.
Also added were former Tampa top 4 defenseman Paul Ranger and the speed demon Mason Raymond for dirt cheap contracts for what they bring. Another addition is Jake Gardiner healthy and starting the season and looking like he could breakout and have a big one. It also looks like blue chipper Morgan Rielly could start the season with the club and if he plays well in the first 9 games, he could stick and be a huge addition. (although if not then back to jr. for more seasoning)
All in all the Leafs look to have gotten better, added much needed character with veteran leadership, improved the D and goaltending and lost little in the players who left. Solid A for Nonis and Company this offseason, and continued Thanks to Brian Burke for building alot of this team. :thumb:
