BOYZ,

A cheap accusation by one who needs excuses and ignores all the tainted players the Yankees had in the 90s and since. Do you have enough attention to spell "A-Rod" or remember why he isn't playing for your team right now King Hypocritus. 1996*, 1998*, 1999*, 2000*, 2009*** and many more.

Besides, the Cardinals finally got wise and kept walking Ortiz genius, and anyone who was paying attention knows the Sox were not knocking the cover off the ball, except at very opportune times, which made UEHARA's ability to hold the lead the big reason why the Red Sox won the Series or even got there.

Cheers bud,

Merlot

Hahahaha!!! Classic Merlot. If that doesn't describe the Fanboys to a T nothing will! Iggy is now known as KH!

Jays bats come to life in 11-3 rout of Orioles

BALTIMORE -- Mark Buehrle allowed one run over seven innings to win his third straight start, and the Toronto Blue Jays hit three home runs and had a season-high 17 hits in an 11-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday.

Jose Bautista hit a three-run drive and Colby Rasmus and Brett Lawrie had solo shots to help Toronto win the decisive matchup of the three-game series.

Rasmus, Edwin Encarnacion and Adam Lind each collected three hits for the Blue Jays, who enjoyed their highest scoring game of the year at the expense of Ubaldo Jimenez (0-3) and three Baltimore relievers.

Buehrle (3-0) gave up five hits, walked none and struck out two. The left-hander has allowed only two runs in 21 innings, an 0.86 ERA.

Jays bomb Orioles

What's gotten into Mark Berhle this season??? Off to a 3-0 start and 0.86 ERA! Methinks he's doing something illegal. ;-)

To top things off the NYY got the umps playing favorites for them now. How's this for instant replay fuckups?

Come on K, this shows you don't know much about baseball.

The umps aren't pro-Yankees / anti-Red Sox (although don't blame them if they are). The umps when they are hired are blind. They aren't allowed to wear glasses or any type of corrective eye devices. And when they watch the replay on video, they are as equally blind. They saw the same thing as they saw live. So why would they make a different call?

They are just filling the void since rumples was put on waivers.

I hear that even merc doesn't want to pick up rumps $0 contract. (Am I allowed to mention that 4 letter word here?)

That non-call did not cost the Red Sox any runs, as Anna never scored. The call was harmless error. The umpires' calls did not cause 5 Yankees homeruns to fly out of the stadium. The shitty pitching of John Lackey mostly caused that.

MLB admitted tonight that the replay official(s) fucked up on the replay call Saturday.

On another note, what the hell is wrong with the homeplate umps this season? It seems they regularly blow balls/strikes calls in every game.......they've been atrocious this season!

And with Armando Benitez blowing the save on Friday night ( OOPS, Jose Valverde I meant :help:), it's just gonna get worse

It's gonna be a long season

I read that Matsuhiro Tanaka after two starts has the best strikeout to walk ratio in major league baseball. 18 Ks against 1 walk in 14 innings. For the math challenged that is an 18-1 K to BB ratio.

After that many starts? Impressive. They should hand him the Cy Young immediately!

I am not sure how many major league pitchers had 18-1 strikeout to walk ratios over any two starts of their career. It has not happened with anyone else this year. Generally the top pitchers have 3-1 or 4-1 ratios for the season.

I'll throw in two names: Bill Gullickson & Kerry Wood.

However, i'll admit that Tanaka's early numbers are impressive although he has a tendency to give up tremendous homeruns once a game. But let's get real: it's only 2 games. Let's see how he'll do once teams have seen him once or twice.

As it stands and ignoring it cost a fortune to sign Tanaka, i'd still take the likes of Yu Darvish & even Hiroki Kuroda over Tanaka. But i may change my mind and revise my position in a couple of months.

Matt Moore to get Tommy John surgery; out for the year

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Matt Moore will have season-ending Tommy John surgery on his left elbow, according to multiple reports.

Moore was placed on the 15-day disabled list two days after leaving an April 7 start against the Kansas City Royals with discomfort in his pitching elbow.

The 24-year-old left-hander missed over a month of the 2013 season with discomfort in the elbow but returned for the postseason.

"I would say it's quite a bit different in how it feels, in how it dangles, with regards to soreness," Moore said after being placed on the disabled list. "The discomfort is similar. The severity has jumped from what I was feeling. It's frustrating."

Moore was an All-Star last season, went he went 17-4 with a 3.29 ERA. He posted a 2.70 ERA in his first two starts this season.

The Rays have been plagued by injuries to their rotation. Alex Cobb, who posted a 1.89 ERA in his first three starts, was placed on the disabled list Sunday due to an oblique strain.

Tampa Bay also has been without right-hander Jeremy Hellickson, who underwent offseason elbow surgery and is not expected to return until June.

Moore out for season
