BOYZ!!!

Interesting game last night. The Patriots without Jerod Mayo, Dont'a Hightower, Chandler Jones, Dominique Easley still took it to the Chargers with their DEFENSE shutting San Diego down after the half. Hightower and Jones could be back next week, some thought they might play yesterday. The win would have been bigger if not for that phantom call against Browner. Yes, a brutal hit but otherwise nothing illegal.

BTW: for those of you who think Luck is great, you had better check again. The right words are "high potential" not "great". Luck and the Colts needed a last second score with 32 seconds remaining to beat the Browns led by Hoyer who is below average and may be getting worse with a 31.7 rating yesterday and a poor 76.7 for the year. I doubt he'll be starting next year. OUCH!

Cheers,

Merlot

Heeeeyyyyyaaaaaaaa BOYZ!

Some lost soul predicted the Patriots would not win the division or even make the playoffs. Well, today the Patriots are celebrating the annual prediction FAILURE with a barbecue party featuring large fresh steaks of their huge Dolphin kill. Just come over to Patriots Place at Gillette stadium tonight with the password: "Dolphins well done" and enjoy the festivities. Yup, despite the Dolphins trying to hold on for a while the Patriots just flicked the switch at half time and left the fish in their rear view choking on the dust thanks to a great defensive effort and the Brady to Gronkasaurus show. This is not the team that was shuffling offensive linemen to test who was who when these teams first met. The line is stable and pretty solid, and with Dont'a Hightower and chandler Jones back, to join Rivas and Browner (the latter on suspension early in the year) the "FISH" did well just to stay relevant for a half.

In other news Johnny "football" Manzeil sucked a whole herd of buffalo balls in his first start. Sure give some slack for rookie quarterbacks, but 10 completions for 80 yards (54 net) and NO POINTS AT ALL. Damn boy! All of that cocky ass I don't need to take this seriously and you all suck preparation really paid off with total failure. It just goes to show what the difference is in value and talent of a 1st round 22nd pick who acts like he doesn't give a darn versus a 6th round 199th pick who puts his heart and soul into his work/passion. The question of the day is will this wake him up, or doesn't he have any better within him??? Right now he looks like he just doesn't have the character to be a great quarterback. Poor Browns. They deserve a leader with the skills willing to develop them.

AND...Buffalo takes down Green Bay. Everybody or at least the teams with heart get up to play the Patriots, but what the hell happened to the Packers against the Bills? The loss puts the Packers (10-4) in a poor position against four teams who went into today at 9-4 and threatens their home field position for the playoffs. Green Bay should have known the Bills would be dangerous. Now that mistake could cost them with Seattle getting very tough again.

(where's my buddy??????????) :(

Cheers,

Merlot

The results today pretty much set up a matchup in the AFC between the Pats and Broncos on the road to the Super Bowl!

Should be another dandy!

I can't see the Broncos making it to the AFC final. I find them extremely vulnerable this season. But i do agree with you that the Patriots will likely make it to the final. They appear to be the class of the AFC as things stand today.

Boyzz!!

Congrats to D.Murray and D.Bryant on breaking two huge records today. Both had great seasons.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...rray-dez-bryant-set-cowboys-franchise-records

Amazing Season as well by Tony Romo. I always said if this guy ever had a decent offensive line he would be "lights out" and this year he had that and was that. Hopefully the 'boys can win a playoff game or 2.

Romo/Murray/Bryant of 2014 scarily resembles Aikman/Smith/Irvin of old

BOYZ!

...Kraft of the Patriots are the worst owners in football...they are basically idiots just writing checks)...

Any chance you could explain how the owner of the winningest sports franchise since 2001 has been an idiot. I'll bet you two hours with an escort you can't make that stick.

regarding Romo, whether he had a great O-line or not he had his chances and as a direct result of his choices...HE CHOKED! No O-line would have changed that.

The Patriots just played out the season today and really didn't care about a win. They had between 10 to 12 starters and maybe more just sit out the entire game, and still the Bills couldn't score at all in the 2nd half.

Cheers,

Merlot

How bout' them Cowboys!
Sharky! :thumb:

I think you mean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHa4hUTWydw

What a turnaround season for the Cowboys!...In fact, Jerry Jones of the Cowboys along with Blank of the Falcons and Kraft of the Patriots are the worst owners in football

Jerry's problem is he lets his ego get in the way too ofton but when you are the owner of "America's Team" I suppose it is hard to temper that ego. Had Jones not ran off Jimmy Johnson all those years ago, the Cowboys would likely have more Rings. Oh well, you cant change old dudes set in their ways.

As far as Blank and Kraft, I agree. Anyone who employs Dog Killers and the other employs Murderers and Football Cheaters are complete idiots.

Anyways, I think most fans cheer for the team not ownership.

LOL,

Merlot with all due respect...and its no secret and everyone know it...The real genius and decision maker behind the Patriots is Coach and GM Belichick...and I re-iterate GM of FOOTBALL OPERATIONS...Kraft has no idea what is going on...he hasn't for 12 years...He has essentially entrusted his team to Belichick...Kraft is simply an INVESTOR who got good outside advice as an Owner! He was never a football man...get serious!

So what, everyone knows who the brains is. You said idiot owner, which is dead wrong. For one thing neither of us knows what Kraft's football IQ is, but he's smart enough not to think he knows more than proven experts. An idiot owner is one who knows nothing and still insists on interfering, the trademark of Jerry Jones, some fool in Oakland, and a few others. Kraft was smart enough to hire the right man and then get the freak out of the way. There's no doubt that when it comes to idiots Jones is miles ahead of nearly everyone else including Kraft. As you indicated, a smart owner recognizes and takes good advice. Thanks to Jones the Dallas Cowgirls have been America's JOKE for a long time.

Cheers,

Merlot

Shark, and Boyz!

I would add Daniel Snyder of the lowly redskins to that list of stupid owners. About Mark Davis out in Oakland, something tells me he will be back down the road to take over like dear old daddy did all those years, afterall the apple does not fall far from the tree as the saying goes. He can be added to this list at a later date lol.

As far as Jerry Jones goes, it is what it is and lets give him some credit for on the job training/learning as he has drafted very well the last few years and the 'Boys sit at 12-4 and are contenders for another championship. I wish Jones would have left Jimmy Johnson alone to run the team but you can't change the past. Football Operations wise, Jones does not have a great track record but Football Marketing wise he is terrific. He paid a paltry 140 million for America's Team 25 years ago and their value today is a record 3.2 BILLION, not too shabby.

Agreed, but Jones would get much of the credit IF the Cowboys were to go on and win the Super Bowl this season, whether he deserves it or not.

In "my" perfect dream matchup, it would be Dallas vs. New England in this years SB with the 'Boys winning their 6th Championship. Just like at the beginning of the season, I did not expect this Cowboys team to do so well and even tho they have developed into one of the better teams in the NFL throughout the season, I do not expect Dallas to win the SB although I would take it!
Just because YOU ARE THE MAJOR SHAREHOLDER OF CORPORATION "XYZ"...YOU DO NOT TELL THE CEO HOW TO MANAGE THE COMPANY OR INTERFERE IN THE DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS!

What about the Seattle Seahawks? They won their division and are the number one seed in the NFC. Where's the love? Did you forget what they did last year? Looking forward to the playoffs, best time of the year.

Unlike the deviant laden Cowgirls the Seahawks are scary. The Seahawks are very dangerous and they look like they are getting it together at the right time. Russell Wilson has improved and that defense is fearsome when healthy with the ability to tear apart any offensive line. Given the matchup problems they would give the Patriots the Seahawks are probably the team to be the biggest problem if New England makes it, especially if Aaron Rodgers is hobbled much by that calf injury.

Romo ends season as Top Rated Passer in the NFL

What was that you were saying a few weeks ago SK? ;) and many others over the last few years? Lemme guess, he is on roids now lol. I would love to have seen what Romo could have done had he even a decent O-line all these years. He is easily one of the best in the game today.

http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/2...-passer-rating-proud-owner-claims-qb-“my-mvp”

I never expected America's Team to be here at the end of the season so already seems like a successful season for Cowboy Fans. Anymore wins now are a bonus.

Detroit is just not good enough. I understand Suh was suspended 1 game for stepping on Rogers. This time it did not look malicious. So we lose Suh for the first game of the playoffs.
I just don't think Detroit is ready to play with the prime timers. They couldn't stop the run vs Green Bay. They hadn't beat GB in GB in 30 years. A Detroit area restaurant offered to your bill if you watched the game at their establishment and the Lions beat GB. It looks like the Lions are a player or two away. I hope I'm wrong.
