Top of the mountain
You have 3 downs to go and marshal " the beast " on your side what do you do ..... First you don't throw the football !
Marshal could have pushed the ball down the throat of the pats !!!
Worst worst decision in the history of football !
Congrats to the Pats but I don't think Brady should had the mvp with two interceptions !
What a bummer

I might agree if Brady hadn't driven for a touchdown against one of the toughest defenses in NFL history at the very last second. I think Edelman most of all, aside from Brady, kept that team going when it got the roughest.

No matter which side you were on, you have to admit the ending was one of the most stunning turns of apparent fate and greatest ending ever, especially with an undrafted rookie out of WHERE...the University of Western Alabama clinching it with a grab right out of the teeth of fate. :noidea:

Pete Carroll made the absolute worse call in Super Bowl history with that disastrous game choking play. He goes down as one of the games great GOATS for that one.

Carroll being Carroll. he made really bad calls in college too costing him a 3rd title with USC. his ego got the best of him and knowing the Pats, they would most likely have let Lynch scored so they could get the ball back

I saw him so many times during the game letting his adrenalin getting the better of him, getting caught up in everything, and swept up emotionally. Did this affect his utterly tragic call? One thing for sure with Marshawn Lynch and 3 tries ahead of them I don't know how Carroll will be able to sleep or escape this nightmare for the rest of his life. It was such an amazing failure of rational football strategy that it's simply STUPEFYING. Don't be surprised if there are calls for his head in Seattle and among all the sorry Patriots haters.

CHEEEERS!!!!!!!!!

Clearly Bill Belichick cheated there. He somehow let two pounds of pressure out of Pete Carroll's head.

However, never underestimate the losing power of Joe's prognostications.

THIS is what you call a REAL WARRIOR!!!

Julian Edelman Took Helmet Hit, Was Wobbling, Not Checked for Concussion Before Patriots Eventually Scored Touchdown

http://thebiglead.com/2015/02/01/ju...-before-patriots-eventually-scored-touchdown/

Julian Edelman took an uncalled helmet-to-helmet hit, went to the ground with his elbow, and then got up and proceeded to make his way down the field. Later, he crawled after catching another pass and going to the ground. Collinsworth attributed it to his hip, though it looked like he should be tested for a concussion.

According to Dave Birkett, that request was made soon after the hit, but wasn’t complied with, at least for the remainder of the drive, which ultimately ended in a Patriots’ touchdown.

Drafted out of Kent state as a quarterback, became a defensive back, punt returner, kick off returner, now a fabulous all purpose GO TO receiver. An amazing find. 9 Catches 109 yards against the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

BRAVO!!!

Las Vegas sports book takes “seven-figure wager” on Patriots

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ts-book-takes-seven-figure-wager-on-patriots/

You may very well like the Patriots to win Super Bowl XLIX.

But you probably aren’t quite as confident as the bettor who placed an absolutely gigantic wager on New England at an MGM Resorts International sports book in Nevada.

According to Micah Roberts of “The Linemakers” of Sporting News, MGM took a “seven-figure wager” on the Patriots over the Seahawks in Sunday’s Super Bowl.

Jay Rood, the vice president of race and sports at MGM, told PFT the bet was a wager on New England at pick ‘em.

MGM did not receive a single million-dollar bet on last year’s Super Bowl, Rood said.

The Patriots are one-point favorites over Seattle at numerous Nevada sports books, including MGM’s properties, which include The Mirage and Bellagio.

The undrafted Malcolm Butler (WHO :noidea:) interception VIDEO.

http://www.patriots.com/media-cente...-the-win/3e5984e7-6ce1-4f33-8369-f7ef737e26c2

The funny thing was I never ever say anything to anyone about predicting a win. It never mattered which sport it is I neither wanted to be too confident or a silly windbag. But for some reason for the last two days I started doing that. When an Atlanta Falcons fan, who thought the whole Deflate Gate thing was nonsense, started teasing me saying the Patriots would lose, for some reason I started chanting..."we're gonna win...we're gonna win..." whenever I saw him. Some how I had those feelings that we would win come over me even though all the nerves and surface uncertainty was there too. It was so weird. When I saw that miraculous bouncing catch at the 3 of New England by Seattle and then the Lynch run to within a foot and a half I had to think it was over. But just before all that, on this drive I kept thinking, hmmm, Seattle hasn't had any turnovers. Wouldn't that be a turn of events. THEN...there it was. Tom Brady from shaking his head to jumping up and down like a 5 year old. GALL DAMN!!!

Patriots unseat Seahawks as Super Bowl champs

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...ts-seattle-seahawks-super-bowl-xlix/22718137/

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The ads were depressing and the halftime show was bizarre.

But, oh, what a game. And, oh, what sweet redemption for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in their 28-24 Super Bowl XLIX win over the defending champion Seattle Seahawks.

The show on the field was the most entertaining part by far of this Super Bowl – no small thing in the annual spectacle that is part sport and many more parts circus. The second quarter alone will have folks talking for years – and certainly made up for that awful Nationwide commercial.

And the last two minutes deserve instant classic status if ever anything did.

Trailing by four with less than two minutes to play, Russell Wilson lofted a pass that bounced off Jermaine Kearse's left leg and right knee before popping into the air. Kearse flailed for the ball, only to have it bounce off his hands once, twice, three times before he pulled it into his chest for a 33-yard catch that put the Seahawks at the New England 5.

But two plays later, Malcolm Butler picked Wilson off, sealing New England's first title in 10 years.

The big names delivered on their advance billing. Marshawn Lynch went Beast Mode with 133 total yards and a rushing touchdown. Rob Gronkowski gave all of Twitter a case of the giggles when he spiked the ball so hard after his 22-yard TD catch it left a divot in the end zone. Cue your own Deflategate joke here.

"You know every year, if we're privileged to get to this game, hard things happen," Patriots owner Robert Kraft said. "I'm so proud of Brady and Belichick for handling everything the way they did. I love them, and all our Patriots fans should be proud of what they did."

Wilson showed why he might be the finest young quarterback in the game, shaking off what have become his trademark early struggles to set up two quick scores in the second half.

Aside from the folks in Boston and Seattle, or wherever the two Super Bowl teams are from, most of us watch the Super Bowl simply hoping for a good, competitive game. Well, that and an ad or two with puppies.

While five of the previous seven Super Bowls were decided by less than a touchdown, how many memorable plays can you remember? David Tyree's catch, of course. Maybe those three, painful incompletions by Colin Kaepernick.

Most of the time, however, the game passes in a blur of queso dip and meatballs.

Not this one. Make up a list all of the "Did you see that?" plays, and you'll still be writing when the NFL Draft rolls around in May.

There was Jeremy Lane's goal-line interception – not that the Seahawks could do anything about it. There was Julian Edelman's 23-yard catch right in front of Simon. There was Chris Matthews' gorgeous 44-yard catch that set up Seattle's first touchdown.

That would be the same Chris Matthews, by the way, who came into the game with zero career catches. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

FOR THE WIN

Anyway, back to the list. There was Gronk being Gronk. Wilson's rainbow of a pass to Ricardo Lockette for a 24-yard gain that set up Seattle's second TD – by Chris Matthews, of course.

There was Marshawn Lynch breaking not one, not two, not three but four tackles on a 14-yard rumble up the middle that set up the score that gave Seattle what seemed like an insurmountable 24-14 lead.

And then there was Brady, who really deserves his own list.

Brady is, without question, one of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game, a certain first-ballot Hall of Famer. But his integrity, to say nothing of his legacy, has been called into question by Deflategate, with most assuming that he played a role in the footballs that mysteriously lost air pressure in the AFC Championship game.

Brady denied it, and admitted that he was hurt by the accusations. But he saved his best answer for the fourth quarter, directing two long scoring drives that not only gave the Patriots the championship, but gave Brady the title as most prolific Super Bowl quarterback.

His 12 TD passes in the Super Bowl broke the previous record held by Joe Montana. He's now tied with Montana and Terry Bradshaw with four Super Bowl rings, too.

Those are records that won't soon be forgotten. Fitting for a game that won't be, either.

https://www.bostonherald.com/sports...rady_4_tds_malcolm_butler_int_propel_patriots

Tom Brady completed all nine pass attempts for 72 yards and a 3-yard touchdown to Julian Edelman, who ran a pristine in-and-out route to beat Tharold Simon for the score that gave the Patriots a 28-24 lead with 2:02 remaining in the fourth quarter. The 37-year-old QB broke a Super Bowl record with 37 completions on 50 attempts for 328 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.

BEAST MODE REDEFINED...BABY!
And now ESPN, which kept trashing Brady and the Patriots is mostly kissing his Super Bowl Champion ASS with incredible accolades. One thing for certain, it's going to be very hard for Goodell to come out and trash HIS Super Bowl Champions...especially now that Brady did the same damn thing with footballs that were WATCHED WITH THE SECURITY OF FORT KNOX. :thumb:

UMMMMMMMMMMMM..."smells like VICTORY!!!"

Haters gonna hate!!! Suck it muthfucka's!!!!!!

I've been listening to so much since this VICTORY OF REDEMPTION and one of the things from a reporter was how his fellows in the press box were embarrassingly cheering like they were paid to do so for the Seahawks on their last drive, no doubt warming up all those editorials basically saying...karma for cheaters...then how they all went dead silent with shock when Butler picked off the ball. Yeah. take that you hating MUTHAS. ;)

Gents, I solved the mystery of the deflated footballs....

The BUTLER did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hungry:

The BUTLER sure let the hot air out of the endless crybaby whining of the bitter little haters. HOW, as I asked before, is Goodell going to convict his SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS for anything with nothing much more than a guy peeing in a stall and refs who never recorded the air pressure. THIS was a whiners nightmare COME TRUE especially when the officials made sure they controlled everything and yet it didn't affect the one man who allegedly would have wanted the footballs deflated...4 TIME SUPER BOWL CHAMPION TOM BRADY!

The highlights have been BEEEAAAUUUTIFUL!

960x540.jpg

How's that for BEAST MODE!!! I love how Kraft's expression seems to say so defiantly...TAKE THAT YOU HATERS.

deflate that BOYZZZ! :D

BTW - Win or lose the Patriots sure have made a great Super Bowl since 2002, 6 straight times.

That's true, Joe, and the guys who examined the footballs have now determined, as noted twice above, that only one ball was deflated. LOL. We do know about you and facts, don't we, Joe. (Gawd, I'm glad you're back.)

You know, kids, there's a lot of power in sports. The power of Vince Wilfork attacking a rushing back. The power of Big Papi blasting a shot over the Red Sox bullpen. But really, is there any power to compare to that of Joe's power to turn his picks into losses? You know that last second interception by Malcolm Butler? Joe keeps his mouth shut and Marshawn Lynch goes over left tackle for the winning score. Yep, no doubt. Why Tom Brady was MVP last night when we all know it was Joe is beyond me.

Why Tom Brady was MVP last night when we all know it was Joe is beyond me.

Joe indeed has some explaining to do. But it's not about his infallible curse gifts. It's THIS:

Tom Brady and the Patriots faced the challenge mountain of the century.

1. The beast mode running back.

2. A stellar stifling punishing defense,

3. A largely hostile stadium crowd.

4. Two weeks of distractions so intense Bill Belichick and Tom Brady both had to take time off of planning and preparation and practice to answer media questions under the worse kind of pressure that made the Salem Witch Hunts look like a slightly ill-mannered burp.

5. Almost a national will to take revenge.

6. At least 125 million pairs of eyes scrutinizing every micro detail that has anything to do with the game.

7. The NFL officials absolutely seizing control of every football in the game, not 1 but 2 Brady interceptions.

8. Wilson throwing lasers at critical moments.

9. A miraculous catch at almost the last second to forget David Tyree ever existed.

10. A 10- point deficit in the 4th quarter.

11. An undrafted rookie free agent defender NOBODY ELSE WANTED needing to be at the perfect place at the perfect time during daunting momentum for the opposition at the one-foot line with the championship in the balance.

12. All kinds of ex-pro players and so-called experts accusing the Patriots

13. And still the cloud of an investigation questioning all your integrity.

The result:

On defense for New England, Seattle goes PUNT, PUNT, PUNT, PICK on it's last 4 possessions.

On offense Brady gets 2 TDs while going PERFECT on a string of drive and game winning passes with PERFECTLY pressured untampered footballs, while setting the RECORD for pass completions in any Super Bowl EVAH!!! Let's play with those footballs all the time. ;)

Joe.t?????. Explain it Joe. All the arguments for the haters disappear against sensational Patriots resilience and absolutely VINDICATING VICTORY!

CASE CLOSED
against all the haters. :thumb: :D

Butler played a great game. The Kearse catch was miraculous, but it was Butler who was the defender on that play, and, barring the miracle, he should've had a pass-defended on that throw, he played it well. He also made a great leaping pass knockdown earlier in the game, too. Altogether, 3 passes defended and 1 interception. The kid picked a helluva time to play the game of his life.

Classic Belichick - no-name player shines in a critical moment.

Classic Belichick - no-name player shines in a critical moment.

Belichick scared the hell out of me when I saw the clock running with 30 seconds left. I thought OMG...IT'S HOLD OR DIE RIGHT NOW. Talk about freaking guts, but I think we all knew there wouldn't be any point if we didn't stop them.

DAMN!!! Do you get it yet??? A 6th round draft pick #199 after thohgt facing 3 other quarterbacks above him, a converted quarterback/kick returner/defensive back/receiver, and an undrafted free agent from a 2nd division college the University of Western Alabama. You don't draft stars, you make a T-E-A-M! GOD MUST LOVE THE PATRIOTS!
