BOYZ!

The answer is the Patriots played awful. Brady looks shell-shocked from the lack of protection. The offensive line situation is a mess, and the defense is getting worn out from the failure of the offense to keep the ball. The Chiefs had the ball almost 13 minutes more than the Patriots, nearly an extra quarter. I think Brady has lost some confidence in himself as well as his offense. As for the offense, when an unstoppable weapon like Gronkowski only has 147 yards on the season and a former defensive back like Edleman has twice as much there's something very wrong in how the offense is functioning. When any team only barely beats the horrendous Oakland Raiders and gets trounced by the also-ran Chiefs you're in deep trouble.

It was a big mistake to let Mankins go. No one player caused what is going on but he was someone you could count on, and I thought it was a huge mistake to let hard running back LaGarrett Blount go. The Patriots are $13 million under the cap so there's no excuse for letting proven talent leave or trading them for nothing that will help. There's also no excuse for not fixing this quickly if there is talent available. The schedule ahead only gets tougher, though some teams like the Saints have their own troubles.

Hey Joe.t are the Raiders still your team, or are you just hiding from that tragedy.

Cheers,

Merlot

My legendary picks as per Pro Line.

Washington -3.5 over NY Giants.

Miami -4 over Oakland.

Baltimore -3 over Carolina.

Tampa +8 over Pittsburgh.

My sure shot pick of the week is the Chiefs +3.5 over that stinking, rotten, cheating organization from Massachusetts.:thumb:

Absolutely on !!!FIRE!!! with my insanely accurate picks and a big thank you to that pathetic, washed up, overrated bum Tom Brady for paying for my next date in Montreal, Brady earlier this year stated that "I will retire when I start to suck", well if Tom Brady had any pride he would have handed in his retirement papers to the NFL after last nights debacle, the internet is going crazy posting messages on how bad Brady and the Patriots looked, the Patriots are so, so, soooooooo bad that Vegas has them as underdogs Sunday at home against the undefeated Bengals.

Joe.t great pick on Monday night. Thanks

Your welcome, would you care to guess what my sure shot pick of the week is this week?.

Tom Brady, a true class act.

The good news is that the AFC East is very weak and the Pats still have the best chance to win it IMHO. All the other teams have QB issues.

Not bloody likely!!!, did you even watch the game last night?, the Patriots were old, slow, uncoordinated, lacked leadership, coaching, management etc, they have played one good game all year(Minnesota), they are just a very bad team, I will repeat that if I said it once I said it a thousand times, the Patriots will not make the playoffs, they are a horrible team, this is a fact, just check the headings all over the internet.

Not much being said about Blake Bortles debut as the Jags QB. This young man hails from just one bedroom community over from yours truly having played at Oviedo. Leading UCF to new heights during his brief stay, he landed one of the top draft slots this past year. Got to admit he made the Jags almost look like a football team. I can still get tickets in the end zone with an oil change at my local Ford Dealer, but maybe not for long....

I will repeat that if I said it once I said it a thousand times...the Patriots will not make the playoffs

You also predict every game without exception that the Patriots will not cover the spread. Since, in the long run, every team covers about half the time, you are every bit as reliable as a monkey tossing a coin.

Every year you predict that the Patriots will not make the playoffs and that the Leafs and Yankees will. How has that worked out for you the last few years? One year, maybe even soon, one of those predictions will be right and you will be able to tell everybody how smart you are.

Don't worry iggy my good man, with the money that you will be making this week you will be having a fantastic time not only with the blonde from Ottawa but also with the gorgeous blonde from Montreal.:thumb:

Meanwhile here is a scathing report from NFL.com on the state of the Patriots and I quote-

"New England Patriots' offense: Former offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia couldn't be this valuable. Tom Brady has missed throws, but his offensive line has been an absolute disaster and the team has no outside threats at wide receiver. The usually consistent running game has grown stale. New England is dead last in yards-per-play behind Oakland and Jacksonville. The Patriots have endured ugly stretches under Belichick before, but nothing quite like this."

Thanks for proving you don't know anything about the Patriots, in fact your indelible nickname "The Curse of" exists because you have consistently proven you know nothing about sports except flashy numbers and being overwhelmed by them without perspective. As Anon pointed out you've picked the Patriots to finish out of the playoffs every year and finish last every year at the same time they have not had a losing record since 2000. and have made the playoffs 11 times out of the last 13. Face it Joe, you're a fanboy...love this team...hate that one...go with your feelings not sports sense. You picked JaMarcus Russell for MVP and the HOF and he lasted 3 years with an overall 65 rating. As with your MVP predictions for Michael Vick you love flash and have no sense of substance.

You repeat the same thing every year and you've been wrong every time. Being right by default isn't sports knowledge. It's the odds playing out, and even then you haven't gotten one big playoff even right in any sport. Even Iggy stopped the kisses a couple of times against your predictions in the last year.

BUT, I do give your entertainment value a perfect AAA+++ rating. No one blows a big prediction even BIGGER! When it comes to your predictions Homer Simpson know your name perfectly. DOH!!!

The Patriots are a very young team, except obviously future HOFamer Tom Brady and very few others. The big problem is that Belichick has been drafting to his strength on defense where the Patriots had been lacking for years since about 2007. He hasn't done much about offense at all and the current criticism is his philosophy of trying to rely on so-called value players who have some talent and are cheap toward the salary cap has been overplayed. The philosophy has worked well many times but now it's weaknesses are coming out big time. Brady is having issues of timing and confidence because of the lack of O-line security, but part of the problem is that except for Moss he has never had a bonafide deep threat and with Welker gone and Gronkowski coming back from knee injuries all the offensive issues have come out.

The division is so bad the Patriots could take it with a 9-7 record unless they lose both games to Miami. The Jets are awful, Buffalo doesn't know where it is, and Miami is schizophrenic. None of them have a real solid quarterback or any kind of overall balance.

Cheers son,

Merlot

Okay, okay the suspense must be driving you guys nuts, here they are-

Green Bay -9.5 over Minnesota.

Buffalo +7.5 over Detroit.

New York Giants -4.5(Manning is on fire) over Atlanta.

Chicago + 2.5 over Carolina

My sure shot pick which I have nailed 3 out of the 4 weeks is Cincinnati -1.5 over the bumbling Patriots who are the underdogs at home, it seems like Vegas has thrown in the towel on the Patriots and their washed up QB, could we see Garoppolo starting by week 8?(my prediction).

Bonus pick- The opposite of anon_vlad's "Lock" picks.:lol::lol:

Good luck guys.

If your picks (all of them, not just the ones you post here, thanks for emailing me the rest brah) pan out, I am booking the Hot MONTREAL Blonde for a 2 hour date on Saturday night (if i am not worn out from the 2 day OTTAWA Blonde) I will make sure she "thanks you" properly the next time you see her since you are basically financing my date with her because of your ON FIRE PICKS! :thumb:

I am not sure about your Dallas pick tho but you have the hot hand and even if you get that one wrong, the way you have been going so far this season I am sure to make up for it with the many other picks you gave me. Good Stuff, you are off to a fine start to the season my friend but you are getting me addicted to betting more each week!
