BOYZ!!!
Not bloody likely!!!, did you even watch the game last night?, the Patriots were old, slow, uncoordinated, lacked leadership, coaching, management etc, they have played one good game all year(Minnesota), they are just a very bad team,...

Thanks for proving you don't know anything about the Patriots, in fact your indelible nickname "The Curse of" exists because you have consistently proven you know nothing about sports except flashy numbers and being overwhelmed by them without perspective. As Anon pointed out you've picked the Patriots to finish out of the playoffs every year and finish last every year at the same time they have not had a losing record since 2000. and have made the playoffs 11 times out of the last 13. Face it Joe, you're a fanboy...love this team...hate that one...go with your feelings not sports sense. You picked JaMarcus Russell for MVP and the HOF and he lasted 3 years with an overall 65 rating. As with your MVP predictions for Michael Vick you love flash and have no sense of substance.
You repeat the same thing every year and you've been wrong every time. Being right by default isn't sports knowledge. It's the odds playing out, and even then you haven't gotten one big playoff even right in any sport. Even Iggy stopped the kisses a couple of times against your predictions in the last year.
BUT, I do give your entertainment value a perfect AAA+++ rating. No one blows a big prediction even BIGGER! When it comes to your predictions Homer Simpson know your name perfectly.
DOH!!!
The Patriots are a very young team, except obviously future HOFamer Tom Brady and very few others. The big problem is that Belichick has been drafting to his strength on defense where the Patriots had been lacking for years since about 2007. He hasn't done much about offense at all and the current criticism is his philosophy of trying to rely on so-called value players who have some talent and are cheap toward the salary cap has been overplayed. The philosophy has worked well many times but now it's weaknesses are coming out big time. Brady is having issues of timing and confidence because of the lack of O-line security, but part of the problem is that except for Moss he has never had a bonafide deep threat and with Welker gone and Gronkowski coming back from knee injuries all the offensive issues have come out.
The division is so bad the Patriots could take it with a 9-7 record unless they lose both games to Miami. The Jets are awful, Buffalo doesn't know where it is, and Miami is schizophrenic. None of them have a real solid quarterback or any kind of overall balance.
Cheers son,
Merlot
