WTF,
I want to point out that it came out today that Adrian Peterson has been accused of using a switch on another of his children in 2013. Yes, this is terrible. Yes this guy obviously needs help. The guy has fathered 7 different children with multiple women. He's clearly "been around". So my question is who's going to support all of these children if Peterson gets suspended? Yes, I'm sure that he could support them for quite a while with funds on hand, but these players are not known for their forward planning. How long before funds run out.
This has to be one of most singularly saddest pieces of nonsense I've ever read on this board. You just flushed every conservative Republican value you ever had right down the toilet.
http://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-athletes/nfl/adrian-peterson-net-worth/ First, this guy has a net worth $20 million right now and he gets paid $14 million to $17 million a year, which he is till getting. So you Mr. Family-Values-Get-A-Job-And-Support-Your-Kids-Like-A-Responsible-Man is going to cry for a brutal randy alley cat of a person who doesn't care where he makes babies and acts like no more than a visiting day child beating dad because you're worried he's too stupid to keep on feeding his kids with $80 Million ($20 million he has and $60 miillion he's scheduled to make). BWAHAHAHA. He's been paid $40 million already and he's due to make another $60 million.
http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings/adrian-peterson/ This is what has you weeping, oh captain of morality, work ethic, and being a "Real Man"??? O-M-G!!!
I don't like some of the rules changes that have been put into the NFL. Frankly, though the kickoff return is one of the most dangerous for future possible damage, it was a great part of the game. Thus I'm torn about the change. But make no mistake, these changes are about $$$ in both keeping players healthy to add to game excitement and profits generally, and to avoid extremely costly future lawsuits and health expenses. The money reason is the same reason the NFL has been a total failure at being responsible when dealing with brutal and sometimes deadly acts by it's players. Even the farce of apologetic excuses for these brutalities has been an exercise in ritual hypocrisy. Stars like Peterson and Rice got a pass while unknown players way down the rosters with very doubtful futures get cut out completely.
The NFL isn't interested in protecting individual player rights, it's only interested in protecting profitable assets. The entire football word is so corrupt from top to bottom that likely murderers such as Ray Lewis leave as HOF bound superstars and the Heisman Trophy goes to a moronic petty thief and accused rapist.
With all the stink of self-serving profit mongering corruption you CS Vercingentorix want to sob for exactly the same kind of animal you and your idol of impenetrable self-righteousness have spent a lifetime putting down. WOW MAN...there's no greater hypocrisy like those posing as paragons of virtue. One commenter on WEEI told the owner of the Minnesota Vikings to grow some bolts. The NFL is the same a cesspool of corrupt ethics you CS have been spewing about in society for years. How easily you sell out everything for the game. Peeeuuu!
I played with a couple of guys that went on to College Football.
You played high school football. So did I briefly. So have many millions of others. I have a cousin who played division 1 college football. It doesn't mean I support those vicious animals who beat on helpless toddlers.
Probably one of the reasons they made it and I didn't. The other reason was talent or lack thereof when it came to myself....LOL The other was probably size, as 5'10" and 185pds was VERY SMALL for a defensive end/linebacker LOL
So this is why you're an unabashed apologist for some super rich brutal child-woman beating elitists far too stupid to act like grown men and stop from ruining themselves...you're old NFL dreams for yourself.
My sureshot pick of the week is my Oakland Raiders +14.5 over that overrated team in Massachusetts, don't kid yourself with last week's performance against Minnesota, this team has flaws and they will be exposed this weekend(lousy O-Line, terrible defence, old, declining QB etc) I am expecting a big effort by the Raiders after being blasted by their own players and the media for the lousy effort last week.
Joe, 50% is a LOSE! No bookie in the world pays off on 50%.
Would you like 10 or 20 more points just to be sure about this one. The Patriots don't have it together very well yet, and Minnesota with the child beater would not have been a great test. But it is the utterly pathetic Raiders in the Patriots home opener.
