Drasaitl un cheap shot sur Barkov qui normalement lui coûterait un match de suspension mais bon, c’est la finale, $5000 d’amende demain.
Barkov a probablement la mâchoire cassée et on pourrait assister à un cheap shot sur un joueur clé des Oilers au prochain match. Maurice n’est pas le genre de coach à laisser passer ces geste là, surtout pas sur son capitaine.

Very surprised at Draisaitl's behavior. Frustration setting in for him and the Oilers. Barkov is the Panthers' key guy, so we will see what happens:

McDavid and Draisaitl have a combined 1 point in 2 games, and the Oilers offense has generated 1 goal in 2 games. This is not championship hockey. Edmonton now has to take 2 at home. This will not be easy to do against this team of aggressive, snarling cats. It's now been 32 Stanley Cup playoffs since Lord Stanley was perched on Canadian soil in Montreal, Quebec, in 1993. Prospects to break that streak are not looking good at the moment. Lord Stanley will like the weather in South Florida a bit more, I think.

Bien d'accord...1 but en 2 games pour les OILERS dit tout et met bien en évidence l'efficacité des PANTHERS à les neutraliser.....à commencer par BOB....et oui d'accord aussi que l'assaut de DRAISAITL sur BARKOV aurait du lui mériter une expulsion du match

As far as I remember it has been like that in the NHL.
Perhaps 3 books for the regular seaon games one for the 2 first periods, another for the 3rd and one for overtime.
Same thing for the playoffs but with 3 new books !

Has anyone noticed that Draisaitl has zero (0) points in 3 Edmonton losses in this series? Amazing non-production in the 3 most important hockey games of his career. Is his head in Boston, thinking about his next contract with the Bruins, house-hunting and texting Tom Brady for advice on the best suburb to live in? Will he be asking his agent about getting tickets to the Yankees-Red Sox game on Sunday night baseball after Edmonton is eliminated tomorrow night? Don't be surprised to see Draisaitl in John Henry's box Sunday night. He probably has a reservation at a German restaurant Bronwyn right before the game, just in case.......and is thinking about their sauerbraten, bratwurst and knackwurst. This is what happens when your head is not in the game.

For sure Draisaitl is a big deception in this final, but it’s the playoffs and we don’t know everything. Maybe he is playing with some injury.
The Oilers are showing how unidimensional they really are, no depth and a lack of dedication out of their 5 power play guys. My opinion is that the coaching staff has failed to establish a real system and convinced the players to stick to it and play as a team. They spent the entire season relying solely on their offensive power.
In the end it’s always the same old story: defense wins championships.

I agree. Many offensive juggernaut teams were exposed as unidimensional as soon as they got into the playoffs. I believe this is as far as Edmonton will go. They will not be back this far again any time soon. After Draisaitl leaves, and possibly McDavid in a few years after his prime years disappear with no championships and a series of early playoff exits, this team will be starting from scratch, still longing for a return to their Glory Years of the 1980s.

As far as Draisaitl being hurt- I am sure Barkov wasn't 100% last night, yet he scored a goal and had a large impact on the game. It's because he is focused and hungry. He isn't thinking about moving to Boston and signing a max contract. Nobody made any excuses for Barkov. And Barkov himself didn't make any excuses. He just played through it.
A telling stat though: Draisaitl had 24 minutes of ice time last night- and 0 hits. As well as 0 points in the series.

Barkov is a very different breed and his coachhas learned to pull out the best of him. It seems that the entire team is ready to die for their captain. Paul Maurice is among the best coaches out there and winning the cup will crown him as one of the best ever.
