^^^^^^ Disagree. This has very little to do with native rights as money would solve the issue. I have been to many native consultations while working with PanCanadian/Cenovus and Husky. We would give our speeches for our environmentally safe procedures, our concerns for their waters and creek crossing procedures and in the end it was how much money do we get, how many of our over priced companies will you hire and will you build us a new sports complex.

There are many that think that an annual 2% wealth tax on savings is a good idea. There are many that would like to see us pay 65% of our earnings to the tax man. There are many that want Socialism even though we have 100 years data from the Bolsheviks of 1917 to the fall of Venezuela in 2017...the problem is we need to gut the school of Social Sciences and people need to study chemistry and physics and become engineers. Typical conservative. Posting stuff without facts. Global warming is what has been causing these long periods of bitter cold in Canada for the past ten years although this year has been an exception. There is something called a jet stream and it keeps polar air north and tropical air south. The greater the temperature difference between the artic and the tropics the stronger the jet stream therefore it is more direct and straight. It keeps the cold arctic air up north. Thanks to global warming the poles has been warming at a much faster rate reducing the temperature difference so the jet stream is weakening causing deep ridges and dips. It turns into waves which allows cold arctic air to sink further south and you get a persistent bitter cold winter. This was an incredible article. The EDF can be fairly reasonable at times. They will at least listen to reason. I want to know what their response was to this article.
Have to agree with Cloud on the jet streams, there are 2 and are affected by the temperatures at the poles and the equator. Just my own thought but the north pole is getting warmer and the south pole colder, perhaps something that has been going on for quite some time.
