i don’t remember ever saying it was a done deal, but do remember saying antibody testing is coming, and hopefully soon and that it will help transitioning peeps back to work

Even if you have IgG or IgM elevated titers, that doesn’t necessarily mean you have protective immunity. It just means you have been exposed and are mounting a response. Antibody presence does not guarantee protective immunity. The only way of knowing protective clinical immunity is examining what happens after reexposure. We don’t know the significance of having antibodies yet.

it does not but it’s part of a feasible plan to test young healthy 1st responders who have high IgG levels and let them go back to work first and see what happens in the fall when and if the virus circulated again.

There are no absolutes in medicine. Will there be a level of immunity that is present with already being infected and clearing the virus, probably, is it absolute yes, no. How long will that immunity last? Who the fuck knows? And how strong will it be?

like I said they will probably test 1st responders who are young and healthy who have tested IgG + first and send them back

You had also mentioned in another post somewhere else that RNA vaccine, that is a vaccine they are working on getting ready for trial purposes to 1st responders in the fall.

I did not say that there weren’t multiple vaccines in the works. I just said that it seems like the leading candidate is Moderna’s that’s all.

Wasn’t sayin u did. But I think that moderna one you mentioned is gonna be given out to medical personal in the fall as part of a broader study.

Theres a ton of vaccine candidates, they r even trying the old BcG Tb vaccine to see if this boosts an immune response that makes people less susceptible to COVID-19. Tons of shit in the pipeline

Yes, I believe you’re probably right. If I had to bet, I would say Moderna’s will be the first to reach the market. It is much easier and faster to produce than a traditional attenuated vaccine. And the scalability of it works in its favor as well.

Everyone is now suspend that Trump has stopped contributing to the World Health Organization due to mismanagement of the epidemic.

He blames the organization for not having reacted quickly enough, also that the organization has taken part for China. So I have 2 comments:

1) As everyone thinks that China has hidden the truth about the real contamination data and the deaths. So for the organization it was difficult to react quickly and to know that the crisis was also serious.

2) The killer question: Could Trump have done better? I think 100% that not. And he allows himself to blame the organization, he didn't even act when full of European countries were completely overwhelmed due to this epidemic. His country was starting to have problems and he was already contradicting Dr. Fauci's words.

If he had reacted quickly the USA would surely not count more than 26,000 dead.

i dont know much about the moderna vaccine. The one we hear about most in England is the one in the pipeline by Glaxo and sanofi.

Im not sure which vaccines you have gotten for flu in USA but most of the ones I’ve received in America and England are not attenuated but inactivated ones and quadrivalent. Glaxo and sanofi are doing something with their recombinant vaccine candidate by using technology from one of the flu vaccines. Not sure of the specifics though? Thats why I wondered if you could combine a covid-19 vaccine to a flu vaccine in one shot, still optimistic it can happen down the road if covid-19 proves to be seasonal, we will see, I guess?

Many countries are pissed off at China's role at the OMS and how they handle the pandemic.

If he really wanted to fight China's role at the OMS he would use all his allies to back him up. That is how you do things. Now he is just offering a victory to China and pissing even more USA's allies. And if you think USA do not need any allies you will never understand anything and always believe Trump's crap.

i Specifically remember when Clinton was acquitted back in the day there was a SNL skit where the guy playing Clinton literally walked up to a podium with the presidential seal for the cold open, and the audience cheered for about 2 mins in applause. The actor (forget his name) who played Clinton just stood, smiled and acknowledged the cheers and then when the cheering and applause stopped finally, he tore his shirt from his suit in a Clark Kent fashion and revealed a Superman suit that was underneath to hint @ being bullet prooof/invincible. The cheering restarted. As much as I think DJT is an illiterate, I think this skit is more fitting for him. Alec Baldwin Hates trump so much he’d never do the skit to give trump the credit

Any news that come from China controlled by the CCP, along with N Korea (Dictator), Russia (Tsar Putin) to name a few never tell the
truth until found out by the West.

With the latest news that most of the West will go into recession but not China, and the West running to China desperately for the essential
goods and other stuff $$$$s, I think they are in a very good shape to pick up the tab and fund WHO's American portion of the funding.

Yep afraid you are right... But China must be careful because next time their next virus might have a death rate as high as Ebola and if that happens these Chinese will have no more people outside of their country to spy on, steal their IP or sell their shit.
