Exactly! The President of the United States is only at the head of one of three branches of the American Government. He also has no say in what the State Governors chose to do for the states they're in charge of. They're the boss of their states, not Donald Fucking Trump!
If it were me i'd group up all those MAGA morons and put them all on a big cruise ship & let them sail away far away.....very, very far away! America would be 100% better off without Trump & his band of morons!
What do i think? If i'm Trudeau there's no fucking way i'm re-opening the border until at least 2021. If not we'll all be back to square one since the United States will continue being the world's epicentre of the coronavirus as long as a moron like Donald Trump is still the President!

Totally agree. The cover up rumors have been buzzing around now for a few months. If it turns out that China deliberately covered this up there should be hell to pay. When this broke out China made sure to shut down travel within China from Wuhan but allowed international flights to still happen. Protecting them and letting the world suffer.

It was created by Congress. And this was a way to oversee money, such as the $2 trillion bailout. And there's a whole philosophy that's existed since Watergate, since the Ford administration. And back then, Dick Cheney, who was President Ford's chief of staff, and Donald Rumsfeld, who also served as chief of staff, led by Antonin Scalia, believed that Watergate had gone too far, the presidency was too weakened, and one young adherent to this belief was Bill Barr.
And so when you see Trump sort of firing all these people, he's reflecting this sort of decades-old belief that, of the three branches, the presidency is the most important - Bill Barr talked about this in a speech at the Heritage Foundation - and that whenever the country has sort of faced war or natural disaster, it's the executive branch that has been able to move decisively enough to save the nation. And that is under threat because the powers of the president have been curtailed. And you need to sort of ignore Congress and ignore the courts."

I agree. Iceland's population is a fraction of Singapore's, which went into a more stringent lock down to contain a second wave.
I think Germany could serve as a good example for Canada and the US.
South Korea has a couple of companies that have scaled up and are making diagnostic test kits that the US may end up buying.
I would not trust any diagnostic test kits made in China.

TNB as an educated individual I`m surprised that you could so easily dismiss scientific evidence as to the origins of most viral epidemics. Recent genetic science all but links the coronavirus to one that is found in a certain species of bat....one that was sold in the live markets of Wuhan.
Just because some Chinese (and some Africans ) have been eating bush meat for thousands of years doesn`t mean that humans haven`t had epidemics in the past and present caused by inter species virus and bacteria.
