Eric Clapton had a "disastrous" health experience with the AstraZeneca vaccine and blamed “the propaganda” for overstating the safety of the vaccine.
Clapton: “I took the first jab of AZ and straight away had severe reactions which lasted ten days. I recovered eventually and was told it would be twelve weeks before the second one.
“About six weeks later I was offered and took the second AZ shot, but with a little more knowledge of the dangers. Needless to say the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again, (I suffer with peripheral neuropathy and should never have gone near the needle.) But the propaganda said the vaccine was safe for everyone…”
“I continue to tread the path of passive rebellion and try to tow the line in order to be able to actively love my family, but it’s hard to bite my tongue with what I now know.”
And once he spoke his mind, how did his fellow musicians react? Clapton: “I’ve tried to reach out to fellow musicians."
“I just don’t hear from them anymore. My phone doesn’t ring very often. I don’t get that many texts and emails anymore. It’s quite noticeable.” He said he now feels “ostracised” after speaking out.
I got both shots of the Pfizer vaccine as soon as I could. I encouraged my family members and I everyone I know to do likewise. But I would not bully and mock those who choose not to. I am betting that the vaccine I got is safe, but who knows the future effects. 1 year ago, most of the major news outlets said that it was a crazy conspiracy theory that the virus started in a Wuhan lab. Now . . . not so crazy.
And this week, Bruce Springsteen announced a series of shows in NYC starting next week. But you must have proof of vaccination to attend. But proof of receiving the AZ vaccine will not be accepted.
