This afternoon, Republican house member Austin Scott on CNN, put the blame on Democrats for the defeat of Jim Jordan on today's vote.
The Republican have the majority at the house. They have enough votes to elect the House President.

The GOP took an incredible 15 rounds of voting before electing their first speaker at the start of the year. That of course was the hypocritical, spineless, cowardly liar Kevin McCarthy. But it only took them a single round to oust the incompetent clown - the first time in American history that has happened.
Their next pick was Steve Scalise, a typical Republican twat perhaps best known for his previous association with a famous racist. He spoke of his great pride in being nominated...but shortly after that he removed his name from consideration when he knew he couldn't get enough votes. Good riddance to Scalise!
Then in typical GOP fashion, they nominated someone even worse, namely Jordan: a guy who aided in the attempted insurrection, ignored a subpoena, and continues to be an election denier...and whose biggest claim to fame is probably that he was accused by multiple people of ignoring sexual assaults that occurred when he was a wrestling coach.
Jordan also tried to interfere in the Georgia indictments handed down by Fani Willis but she twice publicly schooled the stupid moron by pointing out his total ignorance of the law.
Speaker of the House is a very important position and the party controlling the House has historically had little or no trouble choosing one...unlike the current batch of clowns who have failed at it three times in ten months. And never mind the failure of the process itself - look at the vermin that these cockroaches have nominated for the position: McCarthy, Scalise, Jordan. I wouldn't hire any of them even to clean a toilet.
The House will soon be in danger of a shutdown, another GOP specialty. The last SIX times there was a government shutdown in the USA all occurred under a Republican House majority. As I and many others have often said, these incompetent fools have no intelligence, no ability, no conscience, no constructive ideas and certainly no love for their country. They are the exact opposite of patriots and all they can do is lie, cheat, spread hatred and division, and incite violence. It's time for America to smarten up, vote Democratic everywhere and all the time, and finally throw out all these Republican scumbags once and for all.

Jordan was 20 votes short on the first vote, 22 votes short on the second. The third vote...very importantly...was by secret ballot and he lost by a SUBSTANTIAL amount. I think 112 Republicans voted against him.
This reveals several things. First, the piece of dirt did worse every time. Second and much more importantly, he was DESTROYED when the vote was by secret ballot, proving that many of the Repubs who voted for him the first two times did so only because they were AFRAID to express their honest opinions in a public vote. That's proof right there that the GOP is dominated by the use of fear and bullying by thugs such as Trump and Jordan, two cowardly, incompetent bullies who can only succeed by using mob-like intimidation. It also explains why some Republican officials who earlier publicly voted against JJ received intimidating messages...up to and including death threats...not exactly the first time that ignorant treasonous Trump cultists and Magamaniacs have threatened or even committed violence. Does January 6th ring a bell? Does the attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband ring a bell?

Of the 7 Representants that want to be President of the house, only 3 voted to certify the 2020 election results. That means they're Trump supporters I conclude.
