Not yet the end of April and the Yankees have surpassed the Red Sox and are tied for first with the Tampa Bay Rays, a game ahead of the Red Sox and 2 games ahead of the Orioles and Blue Jays. Expect the Red Sox to drop as the season goes on and the rest of the teams to have a tight pennant race. Good relief pitching for the Yankees tonight as they beat a hot Mets team, 6-4, and took the series 2 games to 1.

Keep an eye on Andrew Miller and Dellin Betances both Yankee pitchers with a very impressive and astonishing ERA of 0.00, especially Miller who is fitting in nicely as the Yankee closer, I'm sure Boston is wishing that they still had him in their rotation.

Also for you stat freaks, the Yankees are now officially ahead of Boston not only in team ERA and BA but also in the standings, keep in mind that it is still early in the season so there is still hope for the Red Sox, I think.

Miller is a much better reliever than he was a starter. And he may have matured this year. All that beer and hot dogs in the Red Sox bullpen was not good for his conditioning, one may guess.

I was going through the Red Sox lineup as i was witnessing the Massacre at Camden Yards. There are a lot of stinkers in that lineup:

Mookie Betts. Leadoff hitter hitting only .189

Daniel Nava. Terrible hitter hitting only .188

Pablo Sandoval. A heart attack waiting to happen. Can't hit lefthanders.

Mike Napoli. Notorious for poor off-season habits. Allergic to working out. Loves food & loves to party with pornstars. Hitting an embarrassing .169

Allen Craig. St-Louis overjoyed to ship his lazy ass to Boston. Hitting a miserable .129

David Ortiz. Biggest whiner & overrated player MLB is hitting below the Mendoza line at .194. He's old, fat, and over-the-hill. He should hang up his spikes & spare his legacy of future embarrassment.

The catchers: Never heard of any of them. Maybe they should get Carlton Fisk out of retirement.

The pitchers: Rick Porcello, Wade Miley, Clay Bucholz, Justin Masterson. All disappointments. They stink. Drastic improvements required a.s.a.p. if the Sox are to be taken seriously.

John Farrell. The worse manager in MLB. Has no clue what he's doing. A nice guy. But nice guys finish last.

Was as just going over the BJ's lineup and was shocked to see that bash brothers Bautista and Encarnacion are both batting a miserably paltry .140 & .173!! Oh and I almost forgot catcher Canadian Russell Martin at .182 ouch!! No wonder why this under achieving team of misfits is in early last place! They suck right now.

BOYZZZ!

Yes along with the official snacks of the *yankees; HGH, winstrol, anadrol etc.

You BAAAD!!! Yup, A-Rod had a whole year and a hlaf off to perfect his cocktail mix. So how is he doing? My my my, 7 home runs but batting .244. The slide downward is on. He can't hit homers if he can't hit the ball. Can't wait for all the Yanks fans and one hanger on to celebrate the shoddy sham of Alex passing Mays in HRs. No shame.

Nice win by the Sox last night. If Kelly ever gets to the point where he has little more movement and can consistently finish off his count advantages he could be a monster out there.

BTW - Love the signature: "Nobody Died in Watergate". So you remember as far back as Watergate but forget the 241 who died later in Beirut under Reagan. :nono:

Cheers,

Clay Bucholz didn't even make it past 3 innings tonight. He was yanked after one out in the third after giving up 5 runs to the Blue Jays in that inning. Christ he sucks!!!!

Ya think LOL, , the big question is not if but when will he be sent down to the minors or even worse DFA'd, they could always trade him but who would want him, they could also use him in situations like last Sunday like when the Red Sox were being absolutely destroyed 18-7 by Baltimore where they would bring him in during garbage time to finish up the game.

Another football score game going on in Boston thanks to their pathetic pitchers(worst team ERA in all of baseball), god are they ever awful.

It must suck to be a Red Sox fan in 2015. Down right depressing.

Yankees get another strong pitching outing, this time by Chase Whitley, 5 innings, 1 ER, 6 hits, as the Yankees expand their 1st place lead to 1 1/2 games.

Meanwhile, Boston must be pondering whether a fresh crop of Slow Pitch Softball pitchers may be an improvement over the pitching staff they have now. It couldn't hurt. But the score 11-8 in tonight's loss to the Blue Jays surely does. Ouch. Joe, what's the Red Socks' team ERA? 10 ER's tonight must have put them last in the majors.

TANAKA TO THE DL

The inevitable has happened. Its not even the end of April and Mashiro Tanaka is hurt again. Was it his wrist last time too? Nope, it was his elbow. this time gone for a month at minimum.

Masahiro Tanaka's wrist and forearm injury: 5 things to know
By Mike Axisa | Baseball Writer
April 28, 2015 9:52 pm ET

On Tuesday, Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka was sent for an MRI after reporting discomfort in his right wrist. GM Brian Cashman told reporters at Yankee Stadium the MRI showed tendinitis in the wrist and a "small" forearm strain. Tanaka will be placed on the 15-day DL and "conservatively" miss a month.

Tanaka, of course, missed most of the second half last season with a partially torn elbow ligament. He rehabbed the injury per the recommendation of multiple doctors and returned to the mound last September.

While chatting with reporters, Cashman confirmed the MRI showed "no change" in Tanaka's elbow ligament. It's a wrist issue and a forearm issue down near his wrist, not his elbow. Tanaka's ligament remains intact and he doesn't need Tommy John surgery at this time. Maybe in the future! But not now.

2. Forearm strains are a common precursor to UCL issues, however.

By now we've all heard it a million times. "Forearm strain" is usually a precursor to elbow ligament damage, and since Tanaka already has the partially torn ligament, he is more at risk of a future UCL injury.

The MRI showed "no change" in his ligament, but that doesn't mean this forearm strain is not the start of something more serious. This injury could be the result of Tanaka compensating -- perhaps subconsciously -- for the the elbow ligament issue somehow.

FRAGILE,

Merlot

As usual you're completely wrong, not angry at all. I have extreme confidence this ship will turn 180 degrees soon as will the yankees and what made it an even more awesome day was hearing glass man Tanaka going to the DL. Bwaahhhh. Btw not sure what the weather in Montreal is but here in Vegas its 90+ and sunny!

Hmmm, with the worst starting staff in baseball by ERA we take 2 out of 3 from the Jays. Can we play them every game. :D

I can't believe we gave up Ruby de la Rosa and more for Wade batting practice Miley. .l.. off.

Cheers,

Merlot
