again, sorry you take it that way, as i stated above it is nice to talk openly about my teams w/o the attacks in the "serious" sports threads, im totally on board with that and the mods, but i asked a serious question to get a serious response, and if you think it is for lack or withdrawls from another form of posting then your wrong. SO, care to answer my question?
LOL...that's you, no counterpoint, just a cheap dig. I see you are having bickering withdrawals because the mods won't let you "be yourself", you are posting nonsense to pick a fight. VERY BORING!

Hugs,

Merlot

Mr. Vazquez has been performing much better these days, with another solid outing today he has improved to 5-5 now, not bad after a horrific april/may. in the last 30 days his era is a strong 2.73 and in june so far it is 1.29 (2 starts) ... "Dont Ya Know, Robbie Cano" another 3 hits and 2 more rbi's to continue his "super" breakout season and a strong canidate for mvp even tho it is early still... nice to salvage one win against a very tough and talented Jays team.

It definitely looks like Vazquez has turned the corner and now he is doing what he is supposed to do which is to eat innings, to bad we can't say the same for Hiroshima Okajima who along with the corpse of Wakefield should be put out to pasture.

Well,

First, I am talking about a call ruling a clear out a hit that does not change the outcome of the game, NOT one costing or changing anything.

His job is also to protect the integrity of Baseball by keeping the rules from being just a joke, and the wrongness of what happened is so irrefutable that the ruling is just a joke. When the facts are 100% clear to 100% of the fans and MLB officials then saying the facts are irrelevant makes the situation a joke. When everyone from the fans to the players to the umpire who made the call and even Bud Selig can see how wrong the call was then the "can of worms" thing is not applicable. As I have said before, if the umpire stuck by his call then the commissioner would have no choice but to back him. Such is not the case. Don't forget that in game 2 of the 1975 Series a blown call cost the Red Sox too, and I'm not suggesting for a review of that call because of this situation.

Sure, there are wrong many things that happen consistently throughout history, but that does not justify any of it. There is no perfect time to starting correcting them, we just have to start doing it and this episode was a good time to start.

You will need this.

I can only see his posts when others quote them. So this has been my first exposure to the adolescence in some time. Well, as is typical with the age bracket represented it didn't take long after the scolding for him to break out in true form again.

It will indeed be a shame to this board and the participants if we lose the avenue of these sports threads because of the adolescent behavior of one or two members. Members who should heed the advise of the mods and get out of the kitchen if its too hot.

Respectfully Submitted,

Jman

?? i asked a simple question which as typical gets twisted around by people with a hidden agenda, mods are not stupid, they see it as its written... so whats the answer, in all seriousness merlot? why is it that red sox fans 99% (dropped the .9%) of the time include yanks fans in their posts?, its all im asking, if you dont know just say "i do not know" ... how hard is that? not picking a fight just wanting to know an answer to a simple question is all. is that so wrong? pffft

OK, everyone. Let's calm down and get back on track. There was nothing wrong with the question posted. If you do not like a post, you do not have to reply or respond to it.

Well I have chosen to ignore the commentary, but frankly I must comment. Allow me to answer your question lgna69xxx...

While there may have been nothing wrong with the question asked, I found the inflammatory accusation that 99.9%, then 99% of Red Sox (you put in no caps another way you openly and admittedly choose to insult) include Yankee fans in posts - to be baseless, pointless and insulting - which I believe is exactly what you intended. It's just not true and you know it. I believe the purpose for the question was similar to others you pose...merely to elicit negative commentary or argument as both you and Joe.t have a history of doing.

You see its not about thick skin or heat in the kitchen. It's simply about maturity, or lack of it - plain and simple.

I have a question and that would be - who exactly is twisting what around and for what hidden agenda?

oh geez, i never caught that, i actually thought that was his real name so im sure the mod would assume the same unless he/she is a baseball fan, as far as joet, he might not know either as he is not a die hard sox's fan, dont ya know? (robbie cano)
This post is out of bounds per the guidelines set forth in prior post by Mod 8. The name of this player is intentionally maligned, as was the reference to Wakefield being a corpse. Either we have guidelines or we don't. Which is it?

Unfortunately, the word "ditto" has been polluted by a certain obese, drug-addled radio clown, but I must invoke it in this case. Personally, having put Merlot, Igna, and Joe.T all on my ignore list, I don't get to see most of the posts in this thread these days. What a pleasure.

I gave you my answer.

Passion can be displayed with maturity.

Oui... boys will be boys...but boys usually grow up to become men and...and MEN WILL BE MEN.

Have fun,

I browsed the thread a bit and in the last bunch of posts, I see not much that look like a discussion about baseball...

Don't you guys remember when you were kids?

When the teacher was saying "ENOUGH", it was a good idea to keep quiet for a while?

And when the teacher was really pissed at your attitude, he wasn't looking for who started it anymore, he was punishing everybody...

IGNORE doesn't mean just put somebody on the ignore list, it mean DON'T READ ANY of his posts, even when quoted, even if they are directed to you, even if his posts are attacking you, even if you happen to read one of the post and find it childish.

Now, let's see who are adults enough to really ignore those who are annoying them... You guys already have more strikes than allowed in a baseball game.
