AJ will be part of the trade to get either Strasburg or Lincecum, after he helps the Yanks to a couple more Record Setting World Series Victories, at least thats what joet told me, and rarely is he wrong

Hello all,
According to my information A.J. Burnett signed a 5-year contract with the Yankees that started in 2009 and puts him in the rotation through 2013. So I see you two gentlemen are quitting on him??? Fascinating! Merlot

Where I belong.
Yankees rotation in 2013
1- Pavano
2- Whitson
3- Brown
4- Irabu
5- Igawa
Warning: Moron at Play. Tell me, Joe, what do you figure the Yankees are going to have to trade the Nationals to pry Strasburg loose? He's under their control through 2015.

Can anybody name the 4 active MLB pitchers with at least 10, 10 win seasons?

I'll give you #1 and #3:

A. Tim Wakefield
B.
C. Andy Petite
D.

Wakefield fired it up again tonight winning 3-2 in Cleveland.

Tim%20Wakefield.jpg

Have fun,

Jman

PS Corrected - there are only 4

PPS Tim Wakefield has appeared in 535 games; has had 430 starts; has a record of 191-166 and has 22 saves so far in his career

The question was legit...with all of the superior, passionate BB knowledge here I thought someone would have answered by now...hmmm.
Instead we were led off into Cashman fantasy spending world...lol...understandable because when you have limited knowledge you tend to deflect.

BTW...the other 2 pitchers are:

A. Tim Wakefield
B. Jamie Moyer
C. Andy Petite
D. Tim Hudson

Pretty good company of corpses.

Have fun,
Jman

Hi to everyone in Dreamland,

It's great to see some fantasies are so vivid and insane. LOL Even if the Yankees offered up Burnett and Vazquez for Lincecum I don't think anyone would be stupid enough...silly little dreamers....

yea, one out of 8 starts he does actually pitch decent, but one out of 8 doesnt justify the other 7 stinkers. (save the chamberlain taunts, he is younger and has time to work things out, lol)

In other words, "Yes everyone, I know Joba f'n sucks and please don't continue to tell me that, it hurts." LOL. BTW, 1 out of 8? 2 of his last 4 have been 8 innings and 2 or less runs oh...and he still has a lower ERA than Javy Vazquez...$200+MM just doesn't buy what it used to. Bwwwwaaahhhh!!!!!!!

Hey, where's EB when we need him?

Anyone know what's going on with Alexis Rodroogwez or whatever his name is...plays 3B for the Yankees...he left the game 2 days ago and hasn't been back?

Have fun,

I'm afraid there's nothing good to report, jman. Pay-Rod left the game last night after the first inning, not because he was in pain, but because he couldn't move.

He spent part of the day in the Carl Pavano Memorial MRI tube today and has been diagnosed with tendonitis in his right hip flexor. This is the same hip on which the experimental surgery was performed last year. While this is a different injury, it's pretty much assumed that it's related.

From the NY Post: "Alex Rodriguez uttered the two scariest words in his vast universe last night: Dr. Philippon.

"I don't want to predict or guess," the Yankee third baseman said when quizzed on the right groin problem that forced him out of last night's 4-3 loss to the Orioles at Camden Yards after one inning.

"I am going to see [team physician] Dr. [Chris] Ahmad, and I am sure we will talk to Dr. Philippon and get a better idea."

Joe.T is predicting that A-Rod will need season ending, career threatening surgery.

Ouch! LOL! Well my fantasy team will suffer, but I'll take the fbb hit for the advancement of the Nation!

In other news...I just tuned in to the Sox game to find the Red Sox up by 2 touchdowns over the Phillies in the bottom of the 3rd ... 12 - 0 ... LOL. The Classless Philadelphia fans have something else to celebrate this week...LOL!

There does seem to be a competitive game going on in NY as the Yankees are taking on the almost last place Astros (thanks Pittsburgh)...4-2 in the sixth...uhhhh wait it wasn't close enough Girardi brought in Jooba...quickly its 4-3...

Meanwhile the Fish are pounding the Rays in the battle of the Sunshine State...Yahooooo!

Have fun,

Jman

Rocco! now thats desperation at its finest! .... btw jman and rumples, the mods asked us to use correct names in these "serious" sports threads,(its not payrod or rodroowgez, it is Alexander the Great to be precise!) :) it has only been about a week and already getting off track, cmon, play fair so i dont have to get a ton of private messages from "certain people" (ahhh hmmm sox fans) crying that i am the one not playing along, ok? Pals? even Joet got the names right in his last post, cmon fellas, get with the program here.

PS, of course i am just busting your balls, but if the mods want it that way, then maybe if we all play nice they will open the flame threads and you can use pay rod, or jobba the hut til your hearts content, haha!

Not looking good for Ellsbury and Hermida, those rib injuries can be real nasty, the injuries is of such concern to Theo that he was seen putting in a call to Rocco Baldelli.

The Yanks are on the hook for another $198 Million for the remaining 8 years of Mr. Slappy's contract. What's your investment? I wonder, now that season ending, career threatening surgery is imminent, if the Yankees have insurance on him?

Hey lgna...To quote you in defense of Joe.t...Geez, I just can't get the spelling of every player right!?
I must have had my spellcheck turned off...ooops.

Its not Biff Boogner or Hiroshima Okajima either...nor is it the red sox....;)
Do you gents really think the mods are that ignorant of bb? Or are you just funnin' with them?! LOL...Joe.t even got the names right in his last post!!!

And I thought Jobba the Hut was a term of endearment donned on that worthless reliever by Yanks fans?!

I'll look for typos in my posts when he fixes his and you fix yours...thank you for getting the point...

Truce?

Could it be?, that rumples and jman47 are the same person, they both say a lot of stupid shit and cry like babies when anything negative is said about the Red Sox, just a hunch, what do you think Igna?.

Some people just never learn...or know when to quit...

Have fun,

Another solid 7 IP for this guy, improving to 6-5 after a horrible start, look out AL if Javy keeps pitching "good enuff" as the Yanks need him to. solid 5th starter in a deep rotation....... meanwhile 4 rbi's for Captain Jeter and Jorge Posada.... GO YANKEES!
