Nice insult, and who said anything about paying?

Ignora, you're probably the only person on the planet who would call paying a woman for sex a "conquest." Congratulations on the most pitiful post I've seen in 8 years on this board.

And on Joe's subject of tainted-by-cheating WS victories, beyond tossing out all those that involved Roger Clemens, Tino "the Clear" Martinez, let's not forget all those spitballs thrown by Whitey Ford in the 50s and 60s.

Spin it anyway you wish, unbiased fans understand that if your living in the past, then REALLY live in the past, not just conveniently the last say....10 years, lol... past means past, not just 10 years... as JoeT mentioned, in 90+ years the sox have won 2 times, the Yanks, well, i think you get the picture. and yea NOT making postseason vs. making post season is something every team strives for in MLB, lol..... wow! really???? Try explaining that to every organised baseball team on the planet! ... i think they might just disagree with you
smiley_rofl.gif

You said recent...actually you said recemtly which I interpreted to be recently...sorry I didn't realize you mean the most recent 90 years...LOL. But I understand, most fans who have an enlarged sense of entitlement often change the rules so the end is supported by the means. Get Joe.t to explain that to ya...

.300 in softball? i hope it is fast pitch!

No shit, I'm quite the player myself, I play right field in my softball league, I am mainly a singles hitter, if I had to calculate my average this year it would be well over .300, I am also the back up pitcher for my team, you and I have a lot in common Doc.

my life does not involve around this board; since I am a discreet man who wishes to stay that way and since I particularly don't give a shit about being one of the MERB studs.

No offense Jman, but you could have fooled me. :D

(over 1000 posts since January 2009....wow!)

Yeah, ya know your right Doc...if I am keeping up with your annual average or even getting close to it...I should get back to life.

Hello all,

*Why are some of you guys playing the same game that got the last warning...JUST LAST NIGHT. Stop playing the "my dick is bigger than your dick" thing and get back to baseball...MLB baseball.

I attend approximately 20-25 games a year & i usually arrive late or leave early since my back can't take sitting in those crummy seats for more than 2 hours. I've had several back surgeries in the past & it prevents me from standing up or sitting down for long periods of time, which is the main reason why i can't drive to Mtl anymore. So maybe, just maybe...if i'd be as healthy as you are, maybe i wouldn't mind spending 3-4 hours at a ballpark.

Very sorry to hear that Doc. But then, your time frame issues are not caused by the MLB.

Jman, it looks like you were right so far. At this time the Rangers need just three outs for their first win. This is much more like the Rangers in the ALCS.

Finally a win, and a critical win. The next game will be critical again. It will be nearly impossible for the Rangers to win it all if Cliff Lee loses his first two, leaving the Rangers down 3-1 in games.

Cheers,

Merlot

Yea really, i totally agree Merlot.

Now, back to baseball. The Rangers got a much needed win, and what the hell was Ozzie Guillen saying just now on the post game???? dude needs to learn English if he plans to have a broadcasting career on a "English" TV station after he is done managing ... He sounded like a poor mans James Carville, only Ozzie actually has EYES, for crying out loud!

But you're the one who made the comment, not I. As for me, i do admit that i spend a lot of time on this board. But i don't judge or purposely attempt to make fun of people, something you constantly seem to enjoy doing.

Great win by the Rangers last night...a must win. The next game is also a near must-win....will they do it?

Hello again Doc,

Well if I appear judgmental at times, I apologize...because while I have my own opinions (as we all do), I do not feel I am a judgmental person - I try very hard not to be. It goes against my core.

Relative to purposely making fun of people...I will admit that I have a weakness, and that weakness is finding it difficult to back down from a fight when it touches one of my core principles or as we say goes against my grain. So when I am provoked by someone with dreams of superiority, who is force feeding their opinion down the throats of others, or acting as a cyberbully if you will...I will admit, I can get nasty. I can play fuck-fuck with the best...lol. I will state this - I do not believe I have ever started a provocation on this board; while some here seem to make a career of doing just that. Anyway...I have decided in the future to let the kids play as they may and I will go on about my business as a gent. I only can hope that others will do the same... permanently.

Back to baseball - Rangers looked ok...not good yet. Good news is they are facing a lefty and so far this post season they have hit lefties extremely well...they have torn up Sabathia, Price and Sanchez so far...and opposing lefties have an ERA approaching 6 against them. Hopefully Hamilton's dinger is the sign he is ready to get hot again. I see Texas winning 1, if not 2 more at home. I agree with you that it will go 7 and I also pull for the Rangers to win...only because its a great ending to the story.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Have fun,

Jman

The Giants are surprising a lot of people & deserved last night's win. However, the fact that George 'Dubya' Bush threw the first pitch gave them an unfair advantage. Anything he touches turns to crap.

I'm surprised, yet not totally surprised by the Giants. It is an illustration that is so typically baseball, more specifically post season baseball...where anyone can and often has been the hero...an individual comes from obscurity and generally returns to it, but when asked to do a job for a few weeks in October they step up and play big.
Its further just another illustration of a team where a GM and a coach were SMART enough to assemble a bunch pf players who they thought collectively (aka AS A TEAM) could win...

http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20101101&content_id=15930008&vkey=news_sf&c_id=mlb

...as opposed to being the 600# rich gorilla in the room with the biggest checkbook who goes out and BUYS the best players (often overspending), only to continually produce disappointments (aka LOSERS).

Bumgarner executed his game plan last night and stifled one of the most potent offenses in MLB...hats off to the kid. So the Giants are up 3 - 1...blame it on "Dubya" 'cause your right Doc, anything he touches, he f***s up...LOL. Seriously...the Giants are simply outplaying and out executing the Ranger up to this point in the series.

Hopefully the Rangers rebound and send it back to SF...then if history has taught us anything...ANYTHING can happen.

Personally, I'm pulling for Bengie (LOL) - he gets a ring no matter who wins:cool:.

Have fun,

Jman
