I know i have an old pentium, and i'm out of date, but those big heavy sites with flash animations take me ages to download...please we don't go on your sites to admire the web site designer's work. We go on them to see the girls, the prices, the schedules and contact info.
Honorable mention to Girls on Fire who offers the choise of HTML version, or FLASH version.

I have ADSL with a quite recent computer and I hate these sites with a passion!

One of the escort site here even have letters that appears one at the time! If that's not too much Flash!

I have nothing to do with scrolling panes, flashing letters, pop-up java images, LOUD MUSIC blasting my ears as soon as the site load (That will guarantee I'll never-ever be back to that site!). All I want is INFORMATION.

Easy stuff like Asservissante makes my day: quick, precise, easy to read and follow. Who needs more?

The only thing worst than a site built with Flash is a site built by somebody who think he is a Flash expert but can't do anything usable because it's too eavy and built without any logical structure. There's plenty of these around...

It's pretty simple for me: if the page isn't [bold]fully[/bold] loaded within about 5 seconds, I hit the "back" key or close the browser.

PS: Go for AMD computers Intel is just no good.

There is really nothing to say about this other than it is just wrong. Intel CPUs are head and shoulders above AMD at this point in time. They require less power, run cooler and are faster than anything AMD currently has on the market not to mention cheaper. As long as you stay away from the bottom level celeron processors, any Dual Core or Core 2 Duo will beat anything comparable that AMD currently has out there. And it doesn't look like that will change anytime soon.

Now if you are still running a Pentium system, it really is time to replace it. You are about 10 generations of CPU behind the times. Pocket PCs have more power than your system. You can't expect people to be making websites to run on a Pentium system in this day and age. There are many places where you can pick up a used pentium 4 system for about 2-300$ with a legal XP Pro license, which alone is worth the price of purchase. It will work fine with your existing monitor but you might have to get a new keyboard and mouse.

Stay away from the bargain basement systems that are flooding the market today. The quality of these machines is terrible and you will probably have trouble well before the warranty is up.

Expecting today's WWW to function well on a Pentium I class computer is not within reason! A pentium class system is so far out of date that it doesn't matter what kind of connection he has, the system is not capable of high speed web surfing. You have to realize that Pentium systems topped out at 233 MHZ not Gigahertz!

Today's systems run at 10 times the clock speed and have at least 10 times the RAM, not to mention hard drives with hundreds of times the capacity and video cards with faster and more powerful processors than a Pentium III class system's CPU. It is not within reason to expect to surf the net at any decent speed with a Pentium or even a Pentium II class system.

PS: master_bates...try either updating your browser or another browser altogether. Also download the latest version of FLASH. You should have no speed problems at all with your system, it's more than fast enough.
