Hate to beat a dead horse but Alberta has 14% who will not take it but Quebec has 25%
For Quebec to reach the vaccination rate of roughly 80 per cent health authorities believe necessary to quell COVID-19, it must find a way to convince one-quarter of the population still reluctant to get their shot.
Regular polls taken since the beginning of the pandemic show the number of people hesitant to get vaccinated for COVID-19 has stayed stable at 25 per cent, including eight per cent who are considered extremely reluctant.
Who are the Quebecers most hesitant to get vaccinated?
Fear of negative side effects along with a general distrust in vaccines are the two main reasons cited by those who are reluctant.

All of these people say that all measures are too important.
But in doing so the result is exactly the opposite. We live in society, we have to think of others, of all the health personnel.
Talking to my daughter and when she goes out to a pub or restaurant ( in orange zone ) she gets asked for ID, no local ID and you are not allowed in. I will be going home May 19th for 3 weeks, still have an old Drummondville ID which should get me into the pubs ( we get tested weekly on the TM site, have no fear of having and spreading the virus ). Gonna BBQ, smoke weed and drink rum, a couple of massages will be in order also.

I have been vaccinated.
In short, I think that your plane trip (you were not vaccinated at the time), with a lot of people, with no distancing, in a small space for several hours, is much more at risk than me.

There really is not that many deaths and the media over exaggerate to make it sound like doom and gloom with cases. You can check the Healthcanada twitter website. It is more about the poorly run healthcare system. It has been in shambles for years with patients in hallways and people waiting 6+ months for elective surgeries. Those are the issues with universal healthcare it has major inefficiencies. Service and resources are decided by the government instead of by demand. The citizens are paying for government mismanagement. Then you got idiots like Fidel Trudope who cares more about about being a part of the UN and getting votes then the citizens he has sworn to serve. One has to ask why Trudope keeps on sending millions of dollars to foreign countries when it is needed here in Canada for healthcare so we can get out of the lockdowns. The new budget pledged so much money for childcare but refused to up the money to the provinces for healthcare. Why punish citizens for governments bad decisions? Quebec has an equally bad healthcare system which is why Legault came down hard. But the working conditions for healthcare workers is poor. They are overworked, understaffed, and under payed. I think we should look onto the government for the faith Canada is suffering.
Moving on. Half the US is reopen, Israel is reopen and so is many others countries because the majority has been vaccinated. Only vaccines will stop the spread of the virus not lockdowns. Lockdowns are more about slowing down the transfer of the virus but the economy cannot remain on standstill forever. We still have yet to see the economic damage we will all be paying for this when it is all over. So here more bad decisions by our government. In the 80s Mulroney sold Connaught labs our only local vaccine production. He privatized it then it got bought by France. In all these years none of the politicians ever thought that by not having a local vaccine production facility would represent a security threat to the nation. ALL are GUILTY. Now we are reliant on out of country vaccines. Canada is so behind but I got to admit Quebec is doing very well with vaccine delivery. In the US most 16yr old and up can get a vaccine if they wanted to but in Ontario even by May 24 not everyone will be able to have a vaccine.
Ontario has delivered 83.4% of the vaccines it received
Quebec has delivered 86.3%
BC has delivered 85.6%
The choice to go single dose, the choice to prioritize urban areas makes a small difference, but Quebec is not running away ahead of other provinces. They are doing a good job,

We have the right to demonstrate, while respecting others. Yes, but when you don't respect yourself it's hard to respect others.
We discovered these cases in 2 buses, because they are very sick and have been tested.
Well done to all these people. They didn't realize they were stretching the pandemic, instead of stopping it.
They made a conscious decision to focus on getting the most people with a first vaccine and wait for the 2nd. With a limited supply of vaccine it made sense. Plan is to get around 75% with a first vaccine by July (ish) and 2 vaccines by September
I'm aware of what the "conscious decision" was, but that's something you do after you already screwed up by not having enough, buying enough, or making enough vaccines in the first place. Your not being realistic if you think your going to go from a lousy 3.2% to 75% fully vaccinated by September.
Want to bet a beer on that one ?
In fairness the promise was to vaccinate everyone who wanted it by Sept. 75% remains to be seen if that many want it.

From the earlier reports I have read if you do not get the second shot within X amount of days the first shot is moot, again, early reports. We know they change the narrative of thes pandemic alot.
So getting it wrong first time and getting a shit load of people killed needlessly deserves a pat on the back for not repeating the miserable performance.
Quebec is still a run away leader in number of deaths in Canada, I don’t think it matters to their loved ones if they died in the first wave or the third and I doubt they are nearly as pleased or forgiving.
I will totally take that bet. The US has been at it for 6 months. We have 33% of our population fully vaccinated and we make it here. Your talking 75% fully vaccinated in Canada by September and it has to be secured. Good luck with that.
