We have the right to demonstrate, while respecting others. Yes, but when you don't respect yourself it's hard to respect others.
We discovered these cases in 2 buses, because they are very sick and have been tested.
Well done to all these people. They didn't realize they were stretching the pandemic, instead of stopping it.
They made a conscious decision to focus on getting the most people with a first vaccine and wait for the 2nd. With a limited supply of vaccine it made sense. Plan is to get around 75% with a first vaccine by July (ish) and 2 vaccines by September
I'm aware of what the "conscious decision" was, but that's something you do after you already screwed up by not having enough, buying enough, or making enough vaccines in the first place. Your not being realistic if you think your going to go from a lousy 3.2% to 75% fully vaccinated by September.
Want to bet a beer on that one ?
In fairness the promise was to vaccinate everyone who wanted it by Sept. 75% remains to be seen if that many want it.

From the earlier reports I have read if you do not get the second shot within X amount of days the first shot is moot, again, early reports. We know they change the narrative of thes pandemic alot.
So getting it wrong first time and getting a shit load of people killed needlessly deserves a pat on the back for not repeating the miserable performance.
Quebec is still a run away leader in number of deaths in Canada, I don’t think it matters to their loved ones if they died in the first wave or the third and I doubt they are nearly as pleased or forgiving.
I will totally take that bet. The US has been at it for 6 months. We have 33% of our population fully vaccinated and we make it here. Your talking 75% fully vaccinated in Canada by September and it has to be secured. Good luck with that.
They, the scientists, do not change the narrative. They just learn from day to day. Usually it takes 5 years to get all those datas from vaccines in development before they get approved. For now, even the BioNTech and the Moderna, the best up to now, only got an "Emergency Approval". Apparently Pfizer-BioNTech would ask for a full approval as they collected tons of data specialy in Israel. But nobody knows if a yearly vaccine will be needed. Do the antibodies and LymphocytesT remain active and for how long. From my knowledge, I would not give this total approval now as only times will tell what we don't know yet. We know only what we know and we don't know all. Those vaccines are in use since only 6 months and it is a miracle that we reached the point where we are now. We were very lucky despite all the deaths.

les Seychelles ont fait le choix de se tourner vers les produits fournis par la firme chinoise Sinopharm ainsi qu'une version indienne du sérum AstraZeneca.
Or, selon différentes études, l'efficacité du sérum chinois ne serait que de 79% à 86%.

Things have greatly accelerated. I don't think the press is properly reflecting the trend.
Here is a chart of a single dose comparing Canada to US to Europe to the world. Things are accelerating. As far as supply, there is always risk but the Pfizer deliveries look pretty solid
My guess is we will catch the US in the summer. While we have our anti-vaxxers, we don't have not nearly as many as you. Here they are more worried about people not taking their 2nd shot.
But coming back to our bet, my measure of success is if a 25-30 YO who wants a 2nd shot can book a second shot to be injected by Sept 30. There is no doubt there will be articles saying XXX couldn't get a shot in Wabush. Granted that may not be 75% but I don't think we can hold our politicians to any more. If acceptable we can even make it a beer and/or a bloody caesar since you like those.
And the only reason I trust this will happen is because Justin's political career depends on it.

Press, charts, and politics are all things that I have lost faith in during this pandemic. But, I am rooting for Canada to ease out of the lockdowns, curfews and get as many people vaccinated as possible. Losing this bet would be something that I'm looking forward to. Wishing all of you guys up north the best.
The organizer of the demonstration in 1 of the 2 buses had to be admitted to the emergency room and the staff took good care of him.
These are not jokes, everyone is tired of this crisis and want to get out of it asap.

Canada seems to be one of the countries that bought every vaccine type out there. On one hand it makes sense because nobody knew which would actually work. And with vaccines being put on hold, some countries blocking export to others....etc, how could Justin know what we would receive ? He was not wrong.
He has said that any excess vaccine would be re-distributed. Now, given we paid 4x the price other countries did, are we going to charge the poorer country the 4x we paid ?
Trudeau will gift it to the other countries, he loves to give our money away. Only thing is he does not like to give to our seniors, war vets or homeless.

Another overly egotistical thought.
In these very difficult times and especially for poorer countries, I think we have to help each other and stop looking at our big belly buttons. The coronavirus is out of control in India.
