Tim Bozon awake & out of intenseive care

SASKATOON – There is good news on the condition of Kootenay Ice player and Montreal Canadiens prospect Tim Bozon.

The Saskatoon Health Region says Bozon’s condition is improving as he recovers from meningitis.

Bozon is now listed in stable condition and was moved out of the intensive care unit at Royal University Hospital over the weekend.

His parents say Bozon is awake, moving around in his bed, and trying to feed himself and speak.

Bozon was taken to hospital on March 1 following the Ice’s game against the Saskatoon Blades.

He was placed into a medically induced coma at the time and was slowly awaken last week.

Bozon was selected in the third round, 64 overall, by Montreal in the 2012 NHL draft and had 30 goals and 32 assists in 50 games with the Ice this season.

Thumbs up to the great Steven Stamkos for his natural hat trick on the road as Stevie Y's Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Leafs 5-3 tonight in Toronto.

For the Canadians to make the playoffs they need several things to happen but the 2 most important are. 1) A Healthy Price and 2) Vanek to be consistent. "IF" they get that and a few other things then they have a shot to at least make the dance. I dont expect them to go far however but all it takes is for a team/goalie to get hot at the right time and anything can happen folks.

Hey BOYZZZ!

I rushed over here to check on Doc's latest update and for some STRRRAAANGE reason I can't find it. But never fear Doc. I've got your back.

Updated NHL standings

The hapless Leafs are now 6 points behind Montreal and 19 points behind the scorching white hot BOSTON BRUINS. Funny how no one has mentioned this. Real hockey fans would be in awe of such a streak...right, all of you one-team fanboys.

10 in a row BABY!

BOSTON STRONGER... :thumb: :D

Cheers,

Merlot

Congrats to "Old" Alfie (as some people call him): In tonight's 5-4 Red Wing victory over the Pens, all the poor old guy could do was have 7 shots, 1 hit, 2 goals (including the overtime winner), an assist, 3 points, and first star in the game. Gee, too bad he's so old and washed up, as some people have said.

I always look forward to Leafs/Habs matchups. Always a great atmosphere in whoever's building! :thumb:

p.s. However, the Leafs will beat Detroit tomorrow & once again reclaim 2nd spot in their division.

Well Doc, since your prediction in your second line was doubly incorrect, the subject in your first line is all the more important. Thus, I hope you greatly enjoyed Saturday's 4-3 win by the Habs over the Leafs. There must have been a great atmosphere for this Leaf home game.

Best wishes!

They have been in playoff position all year and they solidified it with Saturday's 4-3 road game victory over the Leafs. Both teams have played 72 games and with only 10 left the Habs have 85 points and the Leafs 80. Looks like one team will probably be dancing and the other very possibly golfing.

Getting even a 75% Dave Bolland back soon (he may be 100% but who knows yet) is like hitting the lottery for a young team like Toronto who can surely use his verteran leadership and winning pedigree.

Saturday was obviously a great night for the Maple Leafs. Congratulations to them on the return of Dave Bolland, his veteran leadership and his winning pedigree.:thumb::thumb::thumb:

The only downside for the Leafs on this great day for the franchise was that they lost at home to the Habs.

Cheer up Leafs - can't win 'em all, and it's only 4 losses in a row.

Last night's game between the habs & Leafs was one of the most exciting games of the season. The Leafs deserved a better fate, but lost because of very poor goaltending on the part of their backup goalie. Today's game in New Jersey will be a tough one to win.

I also watched the Tampa/Penguins game yesterday. I was extremely impressed by Valterri Filppula of the Lightning. He's already got 24 goals and 53 points. Where did they get this guy?? He played great!! Tampa lost in overtime with their backup goalie.

Gee, it's too bad that a goalie actually factored into the outcome of a game.

Actually though, I've heard that it happens often. In fact some people even claim that a goalie is a part of a hockey team...and some others even go as far as to say that the goalie is an IMPORTANT part.

Yes, it was a typically brilliant move by Tampa Bay GM and Hall of Famer Steve Yzerman, one of the finest hockey minds ever.

And of course VF had the tremendous advantage of having played for Detroit, where he soaked up untold amounts of wisdom by being exposed to the hockey genius Pavel Datsyuk and the exceptional leader Henrik Zetterberg. Just being around those two makes anyone better!

Hey, hey, hey hockey fans...what day is it...WHAT DAY IS IT! That was a trick question since it seems like it's always Bruins Kick Ass Day lately. That's right, The Bruins are so damn hot even good old Satan is feeling mighty uncomfortable just thinking about this nuclear team. Yup, 12 WINS IN A ROW!!! Even the Devil needs a break from all of the HEEEEAAT the Bruins are pouring on everyone.

Yes November, it is the regular season. The teams that can cut it get to move on through the playoff ordeal. But it is scary how good a healthy Bruins team can be. Can you say TUUUUUUUUUKKA!!! :D

Also, congratulations on another Canadiens win over the Leafs who couldn't beat the goalie old Iggy calls "Red Light Price". Yes Doc, goalies are a factor.

Quote from James Reimer Following Saturday's 4-3 Leaf Home Loss Against the Habs

"I think we know we played well tonight and I think we made some mistakes but I think they made some mistakes too. Really it was one bad bounce that decided the game. I think we can hold our heads high on this one and go into tomorrow feeling good about ourselves."

Quote From Stephen Whyno of the Canadian Press Following Saturdays' 4-3 Leaf Home Loss Against the Habs

"Mistakes - be it turnovers by Phil Kessel, Dion Phaneuf and Kadri or soft goals allowed by Reimer - hurt the Leafs dearly. Another slow start wasn't ideal either."
