Yes and any realistic hab fan understands exactly what i am talking about, mainly because the realistic hab fan friends i have tell me the exact same thing, duh, lol.... let the 3 or 4 delusional hab fans on here stay lost in space, it is quite comical.

Pitt did the sens in tonight, good to see! Now if only San Jose can come back and beat the Kings then your and btw my perfect final, is still on schedule!
Iggy, you just posted the POST OF THE DAY on this board. Everything you said about the habs was 100% true!!!!! :thumb:

Hey Boyz

PS.... i am not at all ashamed of the Leafs...Why do you think i was sad they lost the way they did?

It was epic embarrassment then. The Leafs had their best season (though it was only half of one) in several years, and they played the Bruins very tough with tenacity and pride in the playoffs. But being up 4-1 with around 8:00 to go and bllowwwwing it with a huge collapse...that's heartbreak. They should be playing, not watching. Oh well, try 47 coming..."next year".

Meanwhile: The Bruins pissed away a sweep of the Rangers in game 4. Unlike 2010 when the Flyers came back battling hard, the Bruins dominated play. If not for Rask falling and Chara inexcusably losing focus to let the puck be stolen from behind and wrapped into the net it would be over. Credit the Rangers for making their luck count with determination in overtime, but the Bruins thew away game 4. They can only blame themselves.

truly,

And after JFJ, it has took those 4 years actually, takes time to clear away the mess he did, although some of it was good we are now seeing (reimer, komorov and a cpl others) but kids need time to develope for the most part. Just look at the draft coming soon.... those kids, minus the top 2 or 3, you will not see in the NHL for a good 2-3 years and many will take longer, and many will never make it. Yes, the future is very bright for the young Leafs.

Perhaps you're right. After all, you've been saying exactly the same thing for at least the past five years.

until the habs get BIGGER and TOUGHER, they will go nowhere, esp playing in the east where every team is bigger and tougher.

Agree. I would add esp in playoffs.

Actually, you are both right, Gentle and you.

1/ Yes Gentle it's very sad to see the way NHL don't try to favorize the real hockey and let the butcher's teams dirty this sport.

2/ But yes Iggy, with these NHL rules, Mtl need to get bigger and tougher to go further in playoffs

Mtl-Ott series was a good exemple. Yes when a poor team like Ott can eliminate the way they done, and in just 4games a talented team like Mtl, it means this sport is ill, but yes it also means that Mtl need to get tougher without losing their talents...

Is it a good exemple for the kids ? No cause it shows that violence can be more efficient than talent. Yes cause that's the way the world is working, and they also need to know there is no justice in sport nor in life...

All you habs fans want fighting out of the sport, golly gee, i wonder why? Your tough guys are a joke thats why and if you signed a big tough guy this summer you would love it, thats called hypocrisy.

Lets have a lookie at the Canadians "tough guys", shall we:

Prust.... light to middleweight, decent player,,, a keeper but with ZERO enforcement help around him will be injured more than not and or a short career.

Moen.. after a good start a cpl seasons ago he thinks he is now a goal scorer, therefore does not fight anymore, useless

White... cheap shot artiist with a big mouth and a 10 cent head, takes stupid penalties and really, is not that good of a fighter anyways, smallish....

Armstrong... made of glass, "fight Orr, who me? i do not think so coach"

Jorges.... he just whines and cry's, forget about sticking up for his teammates

Subban... to busy yapping his gums about how good he is to care about standing up for his guys to drop em, and only when the guy is smaller than him

No wonder all you Canadians fans hate fighting with that list lol

PS, if Tor does not resign one of Orr or McLaren, how long before Mtl's management is talking to one of them about a contract? Seconds!

Why do you always pop your jock strap so quickly Ig?

My post poses a valid question regarding the most serious issue facing the NHL. Instead of posting something relevant and intelligent you get all bent out of shape and reply with your usual childish hysteria which has nothing to do with the subject. :noidea: Next time read slowly, take a few deep breaths, or even send a PM to Doc and have him explain it to you first. Then if you can't fight your compulsion to comment on every post on MERB, do so.

PSS. Mods, not sure if ballysdays post belongs here instesd of the free for all, (most of his posts are of the "trying to instigate" type these days) so i answered it where it was presented, feel free to move to the FFA if you see fit, Merci!

Even though it's well established that there's a set of rules for you here and a different one for everyone else, you shouldn't push your luck with Mod 8. One day he might wake up and decide to react to your repeated breaking of HIS rules and give you a vacation. Then you'd have no place to express yourself and I would be left worried for your mental health until you returned. Oh and by the way, I believe an attempt at sarcasm regarding bravery coming from a guy behind a key board speaks for itself.

Once again, you seem to lack vision for the futur Iggy (on this one).

Here's a good exemple and proof of what I've said.
http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/story/2013/05/25/sp-hockey-canada-body-checking-pee-wee.html

Back when we had this ban in Quebec, all of those in favor for some kind of a 'more physical' hockey kept saying that Quebec would lose in the long term since players wouldn't be able to cope with the competition in other provinces because kids in Quebec wouldn't be able to handle a more physical play.

WRONG !

After Quebec, Alberta and Nova Scotia came with the same conclusion and then...everytime... Canada trailing behind.

Your thinking is from the past.

People will want more and more some regulation and thougher rules even for the NHL.

And Quebec just like Habs will once again be in the forefront of how hockey should be played in the futur.

Anyway you'll see... once again.

Hey SK,

How do you like my 5 game assessment now. :D BRUINS 3 Rangers 1. NEEXXXT!

The Bruins dominated again, and this time there were no costly foul-ups to piss away the game. The amazing rookie Torey Krug got his 4th goal of the playoffs and has become a mini-folk legend, and the MERLOT LINE (4th) :thumb: has been the Bruins most potent unit.

Now for the real test...the Pittsburgh Penguins are a scary bunch at any angle for the Bruins. It will take total dedication and great strategy just to keep up with them.

http://www.myfoxboston.com/story/22424085/bruins-beat-rangers

BOSTON (AP) - Tuukka Rask stopped 28 shots, Gregory Campbell scored twice and the Boston Bruins beat the New York Rangers in Game 5 on Saturday to advance to the Eastern Conference finals.

The Bruins will face the Pittsburgh Penguins for the right to play for the Stanley Cup.

Recent call-up Torey Krug scored his fourth goal of the series for Boston, which reached the third round of the NHL playoffs for the second time since 1992. The other was 2011, when the Bruins won the sixth Stanley Cup in franchise history.

Dan Girardi scored and Henrik Lundqvist made 29 saves for the Rangers, who lost to New Jersey in last year's East finals.

Campbell broke a 1-1 tie in the second period, then added an empty-netter with 51 seconds left after Lundqvist was pulled for an extra skater.

The Rangers fell behind 3-0 in the series before winning Game 4 on Thursday night to avoid a sweep, thanks in part to a pratfall by Rask that helped them erase a 2-0 deficit. They took an early lead Saturday, But they couldn't send the series back to New York for a sixth game.

Girardi opened the scoring on a power play with 9:21 left in first, one-timing a pass from Mats Zucarello into the net. The Bruins scored a power-play goal of their own 3:48 into the second when Krug took a pass from Tyler Seguin and hit the top of the net.

Ten minutes later, Daniel Paille sent the puck to the net and it got caught up in traffic. Shawn Thornton knocked it to Campbell, who swept it in for the go-ahead goal.

The Rangers had their best chance to tie it with just under 10 minutes left in the third, when Ryan Callahan came up the middle on a breakaway. He tried to go left and beat Rask with a backhander, but the goalie turned it aside with his blocker.

The Rangers pulled Lundqvist with 1:15 left, but the Bruins quickly found the empty net on a slow-rolling shot by Campbell.

Most Bruins fans were very nervous about facing Lundgvist, who had a heavy advantage against Boston by record, and thought the Rangers would be a tough matchup to deal with. But Boston ended up dominating in every game, only failing late in one game when they got sloppy. The way this series turned I'd guess the Leafs could have taken them too.

GoBruinsGo.

Well Bruins vs. Pens should be a very good one to watch.
Too bad Habs didn't have good playoffs but we have to be ok with the fact they came back from the slump last year to have at least a very good regular season.

But we now have the 2 teams we think should have met anyway in the eastern final.

Now that's the hot one to watch.

And this year I can't go for Bruins more than Pens.
I like both teams.

Anyway, any of the two will make the finals between (eastern and western) a very good show.

Bravo Bruins! Bye bye Rangers and Torts.

Yeurk, i can't wait to see Boston shit lead by captain charogne be eliminated, god i hate that team so badly, i was sure the leafs where gonna pull them out. Can't say i like the Leafs that much(more like i don't care about them now, used to be a fan years ago in the 90s) but anything to see boston shit out of the playoffs... Every match they win make me wanna puke...

No way im reliving the nightmare of the soiled stanley cup 2 years ago... Having Charogne touch touch the stanley cup is like having somebody spit on the mona lisa....

Well at least there is the great penguins ahead and they should destroy them. Got to admit they got me a bit worried against the surprising islanders, but they destroyed ottawa and it felt great(after they cheated there way to victory with solded out referees against montreal)

Now the other problem... Detroit(altough a minor one compare to boston) , cmon Hawks, you can get back, you dominated the regular season... As for LA and San Jose they are 2 teams i very like so its all fine.

In any case if it goes to Detroit vs Boston... the enemy of my enemy is my friend... ill go with detroit... even tough i never liked them much.

But you guys disapoint me really, this is MONTREAL escort review board... not BERB.

Nice to see the bruins end the Rangers run, cant stand sather and tortorella, haha, really! But now it is time for boston to be spanked and sent to bed hungry til october. Pens in 5, maybe 6.

Nice to see Chicago bounce back last night and get the win. If they can beat the wings in detroit, it's over, no way does Chicago lose a game 7 at home. San Jose and LA, meh... i am fine with either although it would be nice to see Joe Thornton play for the cup....... San Jose vs Pitt would be nice.

If Joe Thornton plays for the Cup that will GUARANTEE that SJ does NOT win the Cup. The Bs only had success after dumping players like Thornton and Kessel.

An ode to the BOSTON BRUINS STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONSHIP 2011

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that STANLEY CUP looks sooooo perfect surrounded by the the BOSTON BRUINS. See how beautifully the silver gleam picks up the Bruins black and gold sheen. And look how happy Captain Chara feels holding it. Maybe some day it will be...red...or blue and white. :D :thumb:

Sorry HM, but I had to have this fun with you. ;)

And this year I can't go for Bruins more than Pens.

The Bruins could not beat the Penguins all year, as I remember. The Pens are TOUGH. Based on this I would have given Boston a 40-45% chance of taking this series. It will still be extremely tough, but the way these rookies have contributed, especially Krug, it adds an element Pittsburgh hasn't dealt with before. So maybe it's 50/50 now??? Then again, Bruins Nation thought the Rangers would be pretty tough.

Nice to see Chicago bounce back last night and get the win.

The Blackhawks are a great great team. I don't think anyone even JC, thought they would go down 4 games to 1. Whatever happens from here on in the Red Wings deserve respect just as the Leafs do this year. If the Hawks come back and take it all some can take the opportunity to pour on the ridicule for a collapse and will. But the Wings have played with great courage and determination in this series and in the end they should be respected for that.

One can joke all they want, but a real fan of any sport gives a team that plays it's heart out it's due when it's said and done...if one is a man.

Cheers BERB ,

In honor of the typical "entitled" holier than thou Habs fan, Halloween Mike, I'm dedicating my newest avatar to you sir. So every time you see a post from me you'll be reminded of the greatness of Mr Zdeno Chara and the 2011 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins! Lest you never forget that incredible team that demolished your silly team in 7 games.

You used the right word...

Chara's name has nothing to do in a hockey thread. If I put 4 skates on my Doberman's legs, he would do the same job...

His agression on Pacioretty was one of the worst gesture I saw in 2011. Seeing this butcher carrying the trophey a few weeks later was a shame for this sport.

Shit, i pushed far last night. Damn :eyebrows: i was really drunk, it was my birthday and i came back late. I do hate Boston badly but its still just an hockey team, it really got out badly worded, i don't think people are assholes for being fan of a bad team. Some players on that team tough, now thats a different story. They play dirty, they show the finger to the crowd... well

And yeah i know the name meaning, that was subjective, its like if i would call my team the "woof woof" and put a dog face on the shirt... thats dumb. And there uniform is black and yellow, they should had just call themselve the Bees... keeping the B of boston anyway ;)
