Thats just one big ass face dude that looks like an asshole that got diarhea

F*ckin' Hilarious :lol::lol::lol:

Way to go HM.

As I said before, me I have some relatives in Boston and I can appreciate Boston (unlike Toronto) for their major contribution to sport and even the Bruins as a team but a couple of their players just makes me puke and this is one of them.

Laurel & Hardy can try to think like Habs fan but they'll never understand that Hockey for us is a passion, Not some dumb statistic you put together during summer time.
Chara is NOT welcomed here and he better never show up in his miserable life in a Habs uniform in Mtrl for there will be blood !

The only 2 thing i wil ever apreciate of Boston's hockey team and recognize the contribution are Bobby Orr and Raymond Bourque, and im glad Bourque got out of there and won the cup with colorado. But thats all. I mean back in the days i didn't hate them that much, but these late years they got so much douche bags in that team, Charogne, Lucic, that dude that gave the finger and i just hate them as a whole. And yes Charogne better not come to play for MTL or we riot.... but i doubt they would ever sign him.

Cause a great team is not just a good year, you don't built a dynasty like that. Habs where a real one, so was the Oilers back then and many more. Even Detroit i don't particulary like, i recognize there GM always made the right choice and they where the last great dynasty(tough the penguins may become the new one lately). I don't hate on detroit like i do for Boston, cause there players ain't douchebags.

The NY Yankees are a Great and Historic franchise, much like the Montreal Canadiens, No? Actually they are the best ever in ALL sports franchises and do you ever hear me talk about the PAST? If i ever have it is only to talk about the great Babe Ruth or Mickey Mantle but never to throw the past in anyones face to win a silly argument. Habs fans live ONLY on the past and that is why you are deemed by most in the sports world as least credible...... hey, dont blame the messenger, just learn from it ;)

It seems difficult to understand for a Leafs fan that others fans are not agree to accept anything, just to have better results... Canadiens de Montréal and his fans have a soul, and we wont sell it for anything. That's why we dont want Chara in our team.

We are not ready to sell our soul nor to lose our game philosophy for better results...

And look at our palmares, it seems that it works incredibly well...

Again, all that holier than thou crap goes out the window, you are a team just as are the other teams in the NHL, no more having the best players under your control like the "oldies" now you have to play fair just like the others in the NHL and it shows.... And any habs fan who does not want a Z. Chara on their team is delusional, to be polite. Get over yourselves, he is the best at his craft and any REAL fan would welcome him with open arms.

You dont get it Iggy, cause you dont understand the word "soul"...

Look at Halloween Mike, of course he went too far, but he speaks with his heart, and what he told you was clear, he doesnt like the way Chara acts on the ice SO he doesnt want him in his team, no matter what he can bring to the team. That's what I call having a soul.

When you say "get over yourself, he is the best at his craft", you just show you are ready to take any guys no matter if he respects your philosophy, just to have better results = to sell your soul...

Yeah no matter if he is good or not, i would never want him on my team for what he is as a person, for his way of being. Just like i would not want Sean Avery either. As for what you say about the past, im sorry but i got to inform you that its not because it was a couple years ago that it dosen't matter. Ali will always remain one of the greatest boxer, and Bruce Lee will always be remembered as one of the best martial artist. Same goes for hockey, you don't have to go back to the 50s to get a great canadiens team. They had a great team in the 70s and the 80s as well.

And back then hockey meant much more than today where its all just about the money. Some people may like how they change the rules for the teams to create more competitivity. But i think personally its not a good thing , the salary cap and all. Some teams are limited in what they can get, and others pay some players way too much to just "fill it up" when these players clearly don't deserve it. In any case you can't erase the greats like Lafleur and his generation wich played for a team that mattered to them and they where proud of, unlike many players of today that just goes after the money and couldn't care less wich logo is on there shirt.

Iggy You're always talking about the past.

You support a hockey team which has nothing to offer but the past.
Your thread about the Leafs is all the past.

It's over and done so STOP talking about the past.

Even this year after all the fuss on being in the playoffs finally they managed to blow it in 10 minutes and once again make HISTORY.
And HISTORY man... is about the past.

LA got rid of SJ, we will get Pens against Bruins and the serie between Hawks and Wings is super.
Now that's talking about today.

But if you come up with only one argument once again (this year) about your Leafs or like the Bruins fans out here talking about past playoffs against Habs you guys will ALL be talking about the PAST.

So lets see if you can make it to September without talking about the LEAFS which are now a thing of the past !

The NY Yankees are a Great and Historic franchise...,

Now who's talking about the past now and not even in the right thread ?

Last time they won was in 2009 ?
Last time Habs beat bruins was in 2008.

So who gives a sh!t about the Yankees in a hockey Thread which only point at the fact that they won 1 time in the last 12 years.
While in this period of time all three Cards, Red Sox and SF won twice.

So Please stop talking about the past

Rangers fire John Tortorella

NEW YORK -- The New York Rangers have fired coach John Tortorella.

The Rangers announced the dismissal of Tortorella on Wednesday, just four days after being ousted from the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The fiery 54-year-old Tortorella, known for his brash style both with players and the media, led the Rangers to the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Boston Bruins. The Rangers were eliminated in Game 5.

The Rangers, who went to the Eastern Conference finals last season, entered the lockout-shortened 2013 season with lofty expectations.

On a conference call with reporters Wednesday, Rangers team president and general manager Glen Sather didn't go into detail about the reasons Tortorella was let go, but said that Tortorella was "shocked" to hear the news.

"It wasn't one thing," Sather said, declining to elaborate on the reason. "I think I made the right decision so we can move forward in another direction."

Tortorella's jagged-edged style of coaching was likely one of the reasons, as it is believed that his tough-guy act was wearing thin on the players.

"Every coach has a shelf life," Sather said. "I've told every guy I've hired, that at some point in time this is going to change. Our goal is to win the Stanley Cup, and we didn't achieve the goal this year. I had to make the decision, and so I did."

Whether Tortorella's abrasive personality was ultimately his undoing is not immediately clear, but there were a few players who made telling remarks during the Rangers' break-up day on Monday.

Reigning Vezina Trophy winner Henrik Lundqvist gave a surprisingly lukewarm "we'll see" when asked about signing a long-term contract extension with the Rangers. The 31-year-old goaltender has been stellar in leading the team in recent years, but has rarely received the type of offensive support needed.

Lundqvist characterized the Rangers' underwhelming season as "a step back," while captain Ryan Callahan said the team "underachieved."

Sather said those comments didn't impact the decision to dismiss Tortorella and said the team is planning to lock up Lundqvist to a long-term deal.

"It didn't have anything to do with it," Sather said. "We plan on signing Henrik to a long-term contract, so I'm not going to make any public comments about negotiations, but it had nothing to do with the decision that I made."

Tortorella also may have estranged well-respected veteran center Brad Richards, who was a healthy scratch for the last two games of the playoffs.

Richards, whose nine-year, $60 million deal inked in 2011 makes him a prime candidate for a compliance buyout this summer, has a long-standing relationship with Tortorella. The two won a Stanley Cup together while with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004.

When asked Monday if there were any relationships that needed to be repaired after this season, Richards replied: "Obviously, it's another thing in a relationship that will never change now, but I want to play hockey and that's all I'm really worried about. Relationships come and go."

New York added star winger Rick Nash in the offseason but was still crippled by offensive woes throughout the season. The Rangers' power play was abysmal, particularly in the playoffs, where New York went 4-for-44 with a man advantage in 12 postseason games.

Sather did not say who is on his short list of candidates, but said he'd like to have a coach by the end of June.

"That process is going to start very soon," he said. "I'd like to have it over by the time of the draft this year."

Among the list of candidates the Rangers likely will consider are Dave Tippett (if available), Lindy Ruff, Alain Vigneault, Paul Maurice and Mark Messier.

Messier should not be overlooked, as he would provide a prime opportunity for the Rangers to promote from within the organization.

Sather said the team has yet to make a decision on the future of assistant coach Mike Sullivan.

"We haven't made any further decisions," Sather said. "We're dealing with the situation today and we'll get to that as soon as we get into our organizational meetings."

Tortorella was named the 34th coach in franchise history in February 2009, when he replaced Tom Renney.

New York reached the playoffs four times in five years under Tortorella, who recorded 171 regular-season wins and 19 postseason victories with the Rangers.

Rangers fire Tortorella

It's about time they fire this classless arrogant ass.

They should fire Sather along with him and start with a clean slate.

I hope Torts finds another job soon though because he gave the best press conferences. :D

Sather struggled in his first seasons as the Rangers GM, but he was great in his last couple of seasons, obtaining the likes of Brad Richards & Rick Nash, among others. One of his best trades was trading the overpaid (and under-achieving) Scott Gomez for two prospects, which included future all-star Ryan McDonaugh. Every GM in the league wanted Richards & Nash, yet Sather is the one who orchestrated those deals. It's not his fault that this dumb-ass had no clue how to use them properly. Hopefully for the Rangers, their next coach will turn them into all-stars again.

I will also miss Tortorella's classless & obnoxious behaviour at his press conferences, but that's about all he was good for. I doubt he'll ever coach in the NHL again. He's polarizing & very toxic. Maybe he'll be able to do like Mike Keenan (who's in the same boat) and move to Russia to coach a KHL team. My guess is that we'll likely see him back on tv doing NHL shows like he did for TSN prior to getting the Rangers job.

I used to think he was somewhat entertaining but the more I see of him and his asinine press conferences is all about him being an attention whore and trying to be the cool guy, which he probably never in his life was. Even his "between the glass" interviews during the series he was just trying to be dramatic and douchey. I hope he's gone for good.

Nope !

Now if you're talking about a Bergeron or a Justin Williams I would say YESSSSS !
These are 10 times more valuable than Chara.

Specially for all the kids to see and watch what a real Hero is all about !
