The Giants win last night was somewhat foreseeable. Eli Manning had played well and shown signs of picking up the new offense the last two games. If any of you guys are bothering to look at the stats, through 4 games he is completing 67% of his passes which is almost 10 points above his career mark of 58%. There are reasons for this. Meanwhile Larry Donnell other than a careless fumble last week caused by inexperience/poor ball security technique, has given Eli the red zone target Eli has consistently lacked since Plaxico Burress shot himself in the the foot the season after the Giants first Super Bowl win over the Pats. A lot of people forget that the Giants were 10-1 before Plaxico's self-shooting and after that their offense was discombobulated.

Eli is effective in the red zone when he has a red zone weapon like a Plaxico or a Donnell.

Meanwhile Will Beatty, the OT from UConn, played the worst game ever by an OL in the Giants first game against Detroit (this partly due to Suh of Detroit who is a fucking beast!) but since then Beatty playing like an all pro and once again making UConn proud of him.

Correction, it was 4 picks and I was 2-2 last week which is 50%(a passing mark on any exam that I have ever written), I also got big money riding on a single bet on Kansas City winning, they win and I will be in Montreal next week banging Clara from MTLGFE
, go Chiefs!!!!.

BOYZ!!!

STN has the Giants getting 6 point and legendary point shaver Joe.t only has them getting 3.5. Something doesn't add up here!!

Shame on you SK. Of course it adds up...to the real Joe.t.

You failed to realize his public picks are a diversion. Remember to check out his double secret picks only he and Iggy knows, the phony ones that always cover Joe's butt.

I hadn't realized the Patriots are playing on Monday night. The Chiefs are poor but the Raiders are worse, so who knows with the shaky way New England has been playing on offense. Still, what do the Chiefs have for scoring against a Patriots defense that has been good.

Brady has been steady in the first half, shaky in the second. His timing has been off and the word is this is from a lack of confidence in some receivers with the effect of delaying his reactions. Amendola can be a doubtful target who drops passes, and confidence in Gronkowski after surgery is not near what it should be. Near guaranteed touchdowns have been botched because of this uncertainty and there's been too much pressure on Edelman. I look for some major corrections this week and a sharper game overall on offense, especially from Brady.

Correction, it was 4 picks and I was 2-2 last week which is 50%(a passing mark on any exam that I have ever written),...

Passing with 50%. If it was done in crayons and rewarded with a little baggie of Gummi Bears. .

Geeeeeeez, this explains so much.

...I will be in Montreal next week banging Clara from MTLGFE...

I'd get rid of this before Iggy sees you promoting another agency. Otherwise your G4U 6 invite could disappear in a blaze of temper. TOO LATE! :D

I also got big money riding on a single bet on Kansas City winning,...

You said WIN not COVER. The Patriots rarely lose on a Monday night in the Brady-Belichick era and are 12-5 overall in that time, and destroyed both the Jet and Dolphins in 2010. They are due to be much better.

Go PATRIOTS!

Prediction: Although the Dolphins are favored, I pick the Raiders via a very boring game. Philbin will not pull the trigger on the Tannahill substitution until the 3rd quarter. The key is there's no expectations on the Raiders, while Miami is still trying to live up to its Patriot Upset Hype. It's going to be a yawner, much like watching paint dry. Highlight of the game to be Cameron Wake extending an already great season on his part. I really like the fun attitude he exhibits at DE.

I have to thank Eager Beaver for his defence of Manning. I reconsidered my plan to automatically bet against the Giants because of it.

I also thank Joe T. for coming out for Washington on Thursday. That inspired me to make the Giants my biggest play this week.

Bills Bench EJ Manuel

It doesn't seem like he was horrible, but he really has not been great either:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11613360/kyle-orton-takes-ej-manuel-buffalo-bills-qb

However if you go by QB rating, a stat I put a lot of faith in, he does deserve to be benched. #29 out of #34:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/quarterbackRating

Geno Smith and Derek Carr are the next guys to be benched if they do not get their acts together. By the ways do you guys ever look at these or any other stats in making your pics or do you just shoot from the hip? I was just wondering.

Alright boys, the NFL season has arrived and it's time for MERB's resident football expert(Me) to start making some serious money for myself and you guys, my predictions-

AFC East-

1. New York Jets(the dual quarterback system that Rex Ryan is going to implement will be exciting to watch as well as very productive, expect lots of wild cat formations that will confuse the hell out of the opposition).

2. Miami(solid, solid team from top to bottom, this team will go as far as Tannehilll will take them, if he can take it to the next level look out).

3. Buffalo(my second favorite team, this is a good team despite the troubles of Manuel, If he can work out the cobwebbs this team can win the division, it all depends on EJ).

4. New England(sadly this team is a shell of it's former self, they have an aging 37 year old qb on the decline with an overrated, ugly wife, they lost their best defensive player(Talib) and now did a blunder of a move by trading one of their best players Logan Mankins who has been a bedrock at the tackle position(terrible move by the arrogant Belichick, one that will cost the Patriots dearly), this is a terrible team that has clearly seen it's best days and will not make the playoffs.

MVP- Matthew Stafford.

Surprise team - The New York Jets, Oakland Raiders.

Super Bowl - Detroit over Denver.

.......
