BOYZ!

Detroit is just not good enough.

You're right. The Lions can be a threat overall during the regular season, but they never were serious contenders. They played a light schedule that had only three good teams to face, Packers, Cardinals, Patriots and were 1-3 in those games. Stafford had pedestrian stats again for the third year in a row and he is just not good enough to make the team into a top tier challenger. Then the team needs a tweak here and there. The Cowboys aren't great but they are better. Without Suh and playing in Dallas you'd be pissing your money away. Besides never bet with one who thinks honor and being a stiffer are the same. IF you do this have a guy man-up by giving you 9 points.

In other news, it was reported last night that Tom Brady has restructured his contract again saving the team $24 million in cap space for what is cited as the priority of resigning Darrell Rivas, Devin McCorty and others. The signings of Rivas and Browner have made the Patriots into a top defensive team that has frequently shut down opponents in the second half of games. Rivas has also turned out to be one of the top leaders in the locker room who is extremely admired for his leadership and on field quality. However, Patriots fans have to wonder if this restructuring will be used for what seems to be the intended goal of signing players like Rivas. A similar restructuring that was said to be for Welker and others did not turn out that way, though Welker was known to be in the dog house with Belichick long before any contract talks. Rivas has taken his place as one of the three most important game changers on the team along with Brady and Gronkowski .

Dirty Jets owner Woody Johnson is probably in trouble for tampering. "In a conference call, Johnson told reporters he covets the former Jet star, who is in his first year of a two-year, $32 million deal with New England." Of course the Pathetic Jets are desperate and cannot afford to have any shame. Now that they have fired Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik they are grasping desperately. Call them the dirty Raiders/Cowboys of the East Coast.

Cheers,

Merlot

Haters gonna hate, lol....A friendly wager with a friend is not forbidden and actually that reminds me, I still owe SK a lunch, next time I see you amigo. I do agree there should be no betting of $$$ between people that are not friends as this usually leads to nothing good.

How about this Hungry, if i win i will give you not 1 but 2 tips on who to see next time you are in town (since you have posted several times that you value my opinion and insight on the Mtl hobby scene) and you owe me nothing, not a drink, dinner, nothing. If i win, just a great chat one on one with You at the pre party for GG7 about all things hobbyland, near and far, deal? A friendly wager where the prize is nothing more than info. You see vladdy that is whats different from a bet for $ with strangers vs. a friendly wager with a good friend, "mon ami". No chance of anyone crying, all is well no matter who wins. ;)

Friends keep things friendly, win or lose, just the way it should be.

Good luck to both teams on Sunday.

Firstly, using merb to bet is now forbidden. Secondly, you might want to read the following before betting with Igna.
Draw your own conclusions.

I'd love any input on why Phibin was retained in Miami. Is Ross so inept or am I missing something? This is not a point to argue, but rather I'm open to ideas supporting what I believe is a failing organization. Hell, the only players I consistently like are the "healthy" Dolphin Secondary & Cameron Wake.

Iggy - how about lunch or a late night snack after the next GT? There is a Mediterranean place a few blocks from the sports bar I wanted to try or you pick your restaurant. Let's face it, your going to give me the tips anyway (which I do value). I hope Suh wins his appeal. He certainly didn't stomp on Rogers and he [Rogers] has that State Farm Insurance anyway.

What was that you were saying a few weeks ago SK? ;) and many others over the last few years? Lemme guess, he is on roids now lol. I would love to have seen what Romo could have done had he even a decent O-line all these years. He is easily one of the best in the game today.

http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/2...-passer-rating-proud-owner-claims-qb-“my-mvp”

I never expected America's Team to be here at the end of the season so already seems like a successful season for Cowboy Fans. Anymore wins now are a bonus.

Congratulations, they finally finished over .500 for the first time in MANY years!! Must be that O-line they've been lacking since 1994 ;)

Actually Dallas has drated for that O-line they have now 3 out of the last 4 years with their first round pick and it has paid off big time. Another scary resemblance from Aikman/Smith/Irvin/Novacek to Romo/Murray/Bryant/Witten is indeed the same type of big nasty O-line they had then and now, scary familiarities indeed. (I know, I am just jinxing them for sunday likely lol)

I just watched the video replay of Suh stepping on Rodgers. When I had read and heard people saying it looked unintentional I had thought if sol then the NFL has overreacted unfairly due to past offenses. Now that I watched the video I have to say WOW!!! The most stunning aspect is not only doesn't Suh have any reaction at all to stepping on someone, he keeps going backwards to step on Rodgers a second time and still never has any reaction or looks around to see what might be under his feet. Glaringly Suh had no reaction either when Rodgers pushed him to get off. Having no reaction or concern about your own balance is totally unnatural, as if he knew what was going on. To me it looked like a planned phony accident. With Suh being 310 lbs Rodgers is very lucky one of his ankles was not broken...and Suh will be lucky if it's only one game.

I think Suh would be a gangland enforcer if he wasn't playing football.

I dont think the video proves anything either but i am glad as a Cowboys fan he got a one game vacation :) He got the suspension based on his past history plain and simple because really like you say Hungry, it was nothing and definately not conclusive evidence.

Boyzz!

Just goes to show some see things where there is/was nothing to see in the first place just like in other situations ;)

I do agree with you SK about his dirty style of play. Bring him on! Dallas's Nasty O-line will take care of him.

If you stick around til the end of the next party you can go on what has become a tradition of after party poutine at 4am. The last one we had about 10 people including some sp's you would love :D

Good luck Sunday bro.

Suh's Suspension Overturned

Nadamak%ung&^ Suh's is our best Defensive linemen and he has a history of doing these sorts of things. I have been very critical of him. Do these guys not realize there are cameras everywhere? Last week it was Dominic Riola who had to sit out the Packers game. Having said this, I just don't see enough here to warrant a suspension. I am OK with a fine. $70,000 is the loss of a golf bet for one of these guys.

Curious. This guy is not a thug. He graduated from the Nebraska College of Engineering with a Construction Management Degree and he is very well spoken and he comes from a nice family. Listen to his interview.

Hernandez is a murderer. Ray Rice knocked his wife out in an elevator. Adrian Peterson Beat his kid with a switch (branch) and his father is in prison or something like this??? Who was the NFL player that conspired to off his wife? Ray Lewis and his two buddies stabbed two men to death and NFL fans adored Ray Lewis.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I didn't say it was conclusive, but I believe he did it on purpose. Why is he walking backwards? So he got a push during the blocking struggle and he's a bit off balance. If he's off balance when he steps on something he should be more off balance and look to see what he stepped on, stopping to regain balance. None of that happens. He keeps on walking backwards smoothly until he steps on Rodgers again, and still there's no reaction by Suh. Rodgers gives him a push and still he doesn't react to look around except to finally move forward. He looks like he's in control the whole time.

I've seen people pull this kind of...I didn't realize act...many times. Sometimes just to be funny, sometimes to get away with things.

"Not a thug". Of course a university that considers itself in competition for a national championship every year would NEVER be part of allowing degrees by covering up substandard academics or falsifying attendance reports. ;) AND, of course no associates or family members have EVER said their serial killer was a nice guy with a great family background.

I think the NFL has decided two things:

1. Despite his history of thuggery and Suh's strange non-reactions to stepping on Rodgers there's no concrete proof of malicious intent. They want to buy his act.

2. The lack of proof was an excuse to do what they wanted to do anyway, find a reason to let a huge money making attraction play. Same old NFL ethics again.

I wouldn't be surprised if they decided for public relations sake to suspend players first to show they are trying to do the right thing, while knowing they can change the suspension during the appeals process. SMART and a CHEAT.

So????? I'm sure we all agree there have been far, FAR worse things, real tragedies. We can go back to those 3 Cowboys players involved in separate cases of child molestation. But these have nothing to do with what Suh did and bringing up much worse things is an old ploy to make the case at hand look insignificant. Suh, is a thug. He's getting off because of lack of proof and NFL profit motives.

He may well not be on your team next year. Detroit isn't getting near the Super Bowl this year. Suh will still be a thug whether he plays for the Patriots or anyone else.

He is one dirty muthafucka though!!!!

I have nothing against the Lions and it's still true. I'd love to see Suh and the Lions kill the deviant Cowboys...and it's still true.

BOYZ,

Why the Cowboys, ...Unless you're from Dallas, why would anyone be a Cowboys fan?

Being duped by a very phony image, no guts to go with a local team, being a fanboy. The same kind are Yankees fans who are not from New York.

The Cowboys just got a huge break on a stupid Detroit penalty. Romo wasn't getting much done in the red zone without penalties. Dallas is lucky the Lions don't have the quarterback they need.

LOL, Lions fumble then some idiot Cowboy gives it right back with his own fumble on the same play. Unreal.

Wow, Detroit looked poor on the do or die series. They didn't show any creativity, nothing to misdirect Dallas and get an edge, just look to throw the ball and hope...nothing long to gain the needed ground either..

DUH!
