Jim Montgomery put his goons on the ice like is usual for that team when they lose by a couple of goals.
It's in their bloodline.
I watched them since the 1970s.

If the Rangers play against Boston, Mat Rempe presence will be required and welcome.
It could look more like WWE than NHL !

Tkachuk-Pastrnak Fight! 136 Penalty Minutes Handed Out!
Wasn't much of a fight but Tkachuk seems to have landed some punches, at least one of which was the sucker variety. Pastrnak admitted his poor performance, blaming it on a lack of fighting experience (see video below for his comments).

For his part, Florida coach Paul Maurice felt the scrap was a positive. "I thought it was awesome," Maurice said.

But the REAL hockey game to watch was later...lolll...went to bed it was 4-1 for the OILERS with a shaky young SILOVS....et j'avais enregistré le reste de la game.....and this morning could not believe what i was watching.....a super comeback
and dominant team in the third to finally win 5-4.....spectacular and surprising win.....big big credit to the kids who never give up....and the fans were crazy all over the place....yes a game to watch....and OILERS could well b haunted by this total collapse.

With the Oilers up 4-2 never figured a 5-4 loss, Skinner fell apart. I think first game ever McD never had a shot on net.
Edit, Never knew it was 4-1 as I was catching highlights on my phone, damn.
Pickard will probably be in net next and they brought Campbell back for the playoffs.

He was fired because his comments and behaviors during the Boston series were highly inappropriate and firing offenses. More importantly is he sent a message that he is unwilling to discipline or tighten the reigns on the prima donna behavior of his players. Sometimes you have to hold the players accountable and he was not willing to do it. When you combine all of that with a lack of results, you have to go:

Brady Tkachuk Named Captain of Team USA!
I would rather have his brother as our Captain, but since he has other duties at the moment, I will accept Brady as our Captain. My hope is he will pretend that Team Sweden, and all other Team USA Opponents, are the Habs. If he does, Team USA will do just fine.

Quenneville Return to NHL Imminent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The The New Jersey Devils, San Jose Sharks, Seattle Kraken, Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets all need coaches, and ESPN is reporting that one of these teams will successfully petition the NHL to allow the return of Joel Quenneville, the excellent NHL coach who was unfairly railroaded out of the NHL!
My prediction is that the New Jersey Devils and Toronto Maple Leafs will be played off in a bidding war created by Quenneville and his agent, and Toronto will win the bidding war!!!

Freddie Anderson has been benched. Paul Bissonnette reported on TNT that the Canes felt Anderson didn't make some saves in games 1 and 2 that he needed to make. So Kochetkov is in and Freddie is out.

Je pense que les Oilers ont perdu de la pire façon…pire qu’une raclée.
A chaque fois qu’ils auront l’avance, ils seront inconfortables et les Canucks sentiront l’odeur du sang.

The kid Lafrenière is now 3 goals 6 assists in 7 playoff games!
If you look at his stats in the final half of the season, he really poured it on at the end and finished with 28 goals and 29 assists. He is the first NY Rangers player under the age of 22 with 25 assists and 25 goals in one season. Youth is being served, but he is also developing into what the Rangers believed he would be. He is very strong physically, wins physical battles and has a hard slapshot. When Gerard Gallant was coaching NYR he raved about LaFreniere, regularly praising his work ethic and coachability, and saying it would only be a matter of time with him. Kaapo Kakko has been a little slower to develop than LaFreniere, but the hope is that the Kiddie Line will pay dividends as we go deep into the playoffs and youth and energy are served.
