Heatwave in China:

It's the most extreme heat event ever recorded in world history. For more than 70 days, the intense heat has blasted China's population, factories and fields. Lakes and rivers have dried up. Crops have been killed. Factories have been closed.

More than 900 million people across 17 Chinese provinces are subjected to record-breaking conditions. From Sichuan in the southwest to Shanghai in the east, temperatures have been topping 40C.

"There is nothing in world climatic history which is even minimally comparable to what is happening in China," weather historian Maximiliano Herrera told New Scientist. "This combines the most extreme intensity with the most extreme length with an incredibly huge area all at the same time."

Record drought in the US West can be seen from 35000 kilometers above the Earth Nasa Publishes image.

The record drought in America's Southwest can be seen from 35,000 kilometers above Earth.
Recently released surveillance from the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA) showed areas where the historic «mega-drought» has left gigantic «bathtub rings» on the country's largest reservoirs and vast, parched areas, which now can be seen from outer space, Xinhua reports.
Federal officials announced new water cuts to states that rely on the Colorado River in a suite of emergency moves to reinforce reservoirs that have hit record-low levels due to climate change and decades of drought.

According to the latest plan, Arizona and Nevada would lose 21 percent and 8 percent respectively of their annual allotment of Colorado River water.
Mexico, which also receives water from the river, will see its annual allotment reduced by 7 percent. Earlier this summer, the federal government gave the states two months to figure out how to stop using 2 to 4 million acre-feet of Colorado River water to help prop up the reservoirs -- or face the prospect that the federal government would step in and make the cuts itself.

However, water managers in Arizona, California and Nevada last week failed to agree on a plan to cut water in the lower basin after weeks of heated negotiations.

The graphic images underscore the dire threat to some 40 million Americans in seven western states that an anticipated water shortage will create, and were released last week by NASA from its satellites that circumnavigate the globe from 35,000 kilometers high. NASA satellites have been monitoring waterways in the West for years and documenting how the region is drying up reported Friday.
It's part of a trend lasting almost two decades, making it the worst drought in 1,200 years.
Part of the severity of this 'mega-drought' has been worsened by climate change,» the report added. Pictures taken from far above the planet show drastic water level drops in Lake Mead and Lake Powell and the tell-tale «bathtub rings» on canyon walls, which illustrate that water levels were dozens feet higher in just the past few years.

The Colorado River system is down to 34 percent capacity, another drop from its 40 percent capacity last year.Lake Mead, a reservoir held by the Hoover Dam and located between Nevada and Arizona, is the largest U.S. reservoir in water capacity and can hold 9.3 trillion gallons of water, a level not seen since 1999.

Another example at how the far-left are total failures and so distanced from reality. Trudeau has implemented the carbon tax and raised it a few times even though more taxes especially with runaway inflation is the last thing to be doing now. Such measures damage the economy as we have seen. The US rejected the carbon tax. The way to reduce carbon emissions is with technology and to let the market take care of it. Facts proves this as the US has been successful to reduce its carbon footprint while Canada has failed. Of course far-left people are clueless. The reason Trudeau wants a carbon tax is to collect revenue to fund his reckless spending spree. Nothing is worse the Trudeaism.

To the far-left pushing their ideologies and taxing people as much as they can to redistribute income is their primary concern vs practical solutions. Trudeau had a chance to capitalize and supply Europe with natural gas not only would that have boosted Canada's economy and create many jobs, it would have helped Germany. Now Norway is capitalizing on that, they will be supplying Germany with natural gas. Norway is a green country too but are not governed by far-left extremists like Trudeau who want to put a carbon tax or shut down pipelines to supply fossil fuels from Canada, they are making use of their natural resources that is fossil fuels. Face it the way to a thriving economy is to have cheap energy, NOT HIGH TAXES. Norway will profit off this.

The free market reacting to climate change

For the better part of two decades, the nation’s major insurers have wanted as little to do with Florida as possible, as least when it comes to insuring homes.

That has left the market in the hands of small, in-state insurers with limited resources. Six of those companies were declared insolvent this year, even before Ian. And homeowners in the state were already paying nearly triple the national average for insurance — $4,231 a year per policy, compared to a US average of $1,544, according to data from the Insurance Information Institute.

National insurers may be reluctant to compete for business in Florida because of the risks from hurricanes and tropical storms, said Matthew Carletti, an insurance industry analyst for JMP Securities.

“When was the last time you had a $30 billion to $40 billion loss in Illinois?” he said. “Never.”

We're probably the last generation to see snow crabs in buffets - what else is going away?

Alaska officials have canceled several crab harvests in a conservation effort that sent shock waves through the crabbing industry in the region.

The decision comes after stark recent population declines of the animals. Data from an NOAA eastern Bering Sea survey shows a 92% decline in overall snow crab abundance from 2018 to 2021, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game confirmed to USA TODAY.

Did I just read this correctly?

Big Oil heiress funding 'Just Stop Oil' group that threw soup on ...https://www.foxnews.com › politics › big-oil-heiress-fund...

Oil companies financing climate change action and climate science?
This is like mafia attacking competitors.
Russia pipeline blows up then Baltic pipeline opens!??
I do understand the sun is effectively the ultimate engine of climate and its changes.
Any blip in the sun's output could result in dramatic climate change wiping us out.
How symbolic "Sun"flower painting was attacked. This is mystery.

The carbon tax is being tripled which is the last thing anyone needs right now by government induced runaway inflation. I get it, I get wanting to reduce pollution. We could really use diversification in the energy sector, with more nuclear, geothermal, tidal, these would be great for the economy and good for the environment. Electric vehicles are growing market saturation at rate of 50-60% year over year, it is a fantastic industry to be in with phenomenal long term prospects.

I have talked many times about the problem with carbon taxes. Carbon is an inelastic good. Like milk, it doesn't matter if milk is $2/litre or $4/litre, people buy the same amount. Gas price fluctuations does impact gas usage. What is interesting this time around is that it is the same impact as before

We knew, at $50/tonne for the original carbon tax, that it would not impact pollution. We had the data to see what $0.12/litre does on usage and the answer is nothing. But after the atrocious gas prices of the summer, we also saw what the impact is of the price points Trudeau is talking about and that was minimal. People will not change their driving patterns over it. His carbon pricing does not get us to the targets he is talking about, it is barely going to make a dent. But what it does do is generate lots of profits for the government so Trudeau can fund his spending spree like sending millions to foreign countries and giving free hotels and monthly paychecks to asylum seekers.

We have real solutions to excessive pollution. The real solution is technology, not taxes. One can invest in green tech, and the thing that is the most difficult thing for green tech to do is overcome the massive subsidies to fossil fuel companies (The Liberals increased those by 5x). Get rid of these subsidies. Use Canadian oil rather than Saudi Arabian oil, with pipelines rather than oil tankers. Let nuclear and geothermal operate tax free. Have tax credits for electric vehicles so their price points put them over gas guzzlers. It is the politicians are being bribed by Saudi Arabia and oil companies to keep on using Saudi oil and push the climate change hoax to charge higher taxes to send money to the lobbyists of the Liberals (I got no proof of this but it seems clear as light and day).

We know the Liberal plan will not work. We know it is going to cause hardship for rural Canadians who drive a lot. We have the data on these price points. It is a failed plan economically and environmentally. Trudeau knows this also but he uses this as a political tactic to score votes and as the perfect excuse to increase/add taxes to fund his out of control spending spree. If i did not know better it is like Trudeau and all far-left politicians are intentionally causing energy insecurity and more poverty.

A far-left meeting of Socialists will be happening at the Convention Center in December. Close to 45,000 people from 195 countries and 1919 organizations will travel for this occasion... Usually in private jets staying in the most expensive hotels to discuss climate urgency (the climate change hoax), the urgency for people to reduce their ecological footprints and enthusiastically accepting a reduced standard of living. This is all a scam.

A scam? A hoax? Man-made climate change is real. It's science. Your denialism is on full display.

The scam is what the government is doing like imposing a carbon tax, moving towards vegetarianism, eating insects, forcing electric, and many other things to further the far-left UN agenda. Noticed how you wrote "man made climate change". It is a manipulative word used by the far-left to incite climate alarmism. Want to talk about science? The climate has been changing since the beginning of this planet, whether it be caused by organisms, meteor crash, a massive volcano eruption, the weather will do whatever it wants. Trudeau's carbon tax is the hoax, nothing but a cash grab. They intentionally are causing energy insecurity and causing more poverty. They got an agenda, look it up there is the 2030 UN agenda and all of it is real and facts. You are not interested in science, you are just interested in Liberal propaganda. There is a difference. Science seeks facts, not to manipulate or lie to push their own political agenda.

I wonder when the Socialists will give up their private jets. So tell me? Have you made the switch to a vegetarian/insect diet? After all eating bugs is very good for the climate.

So tell me? How will a carbon tax fight climate change? The data shows that carbon emissions has actually increased since 2015.

Pretty freaky. This is a move to Socialism, all about 100% pure control. There are lots of gullible people out there who really believe the government has their best interests at heart.
