Of course, because countries that can afford vaccination for the entire population with our efficiency, can afford testing at the same level as well! The more you test, the more you will find cases. They just don't have the resources to test that much in underdeveloped countries. Does it mean there is less cases? We just don't know.
Agreed. We don't know.
The paper also looked at different regions within certain countries.
For example in the United States, they compared different states.

This issue relates to whether media bans/de-platformings of researchers such as Dr. Subramanian affects our ability to fully understand this pandemic.

yes, but when you do math it makes poor... eyes bleed so I attached one with a picture.
Thanks for this clear chart. I think it deserves being more visible!
Of course, vaccine is greatly efficient even in 80+ population. But this efficacy will even be improved with the third shots going on.
I'm in the 60+ range, with special condition, and as soon as eligible, hopefully in december or january I will get my third shot.
Meanwhile, I will get my anti-flue shot early november! For what it's worth, I also take multivitamins for seniors from november to april, as winter times are more difficult for me. Too strong doesn't break! When it is cheap and easy, go for it.

yes, but when you do math it makes poor Chouin's eyes bleed so I attached one with a picture. No need for the math.

It has little red bars....big bar bad, little bar good.....(no hospitalization is good, but better)

A math nerd like you can divide the rates and see just how effective the vaccine is.
I just hope it never happens to me to woke up in the morning thinking about a virus or a random dude on merb.

Another thing to consider with respect to that study is that it only looks at vaccination vs number of covid cases. It is a very simple study looking at statistical correlation.

Of course, the reason why there is no decrease of cases as vaccination increases is because restrictions get removed as vaccination increases. The other reason is that the vaccine is not sterilizing.

The important thing is to look at hospitalizations, and to a lesser extent, deaths. That is where the effect of the vaccine is most evident.

This study was about HOSPITALIZATION and not cases as stated by the title on the graph.

I hope you are right but looking at the resurgence in UK, I refrain to being too optimistic.
Anyway, I will feel better to hug my grand-daughters when they will get their shot.

Nurses in the health network are reportedly seeking to be voluntarily infected with COVID-19 in order to be able to work without being vaccinated.
The Order of Nurses of Quebec (OIIQ) is currently investigating this phenomenon, according to our information.

Faced with this observation, it seems that workers in the health network are trying to catch the disease in order to escape the vaccine for at least six months, while continuing to work.

To me, they are not real nurses.

That is insanity if true.

The CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale suspended without pay 5 unvaccinated employees who refused screening tests, mandatory since October 15. Employees were warned several times before being suspended.

When a worker is not vaccinated, he puts at risk not only the often vulnerable users with whom he is in contact, but also his co-workers.

But IMHO reality is...if they did not get vaccinated yet---knowing all the consequences--they will not accept to b tested neighter.....at this point they don't care and do not deserve to work for the public health....go/stay home plz.

Not sure where to post this but I will here. Surprise surprise. Lego backed off and existing healthcare workers will no longer be required to be vaccinated following Doug Ford's announcement. Only new hires will have to be vaccinated. They realized they cannot spare loosing any healthcare workers considering the fact that they are already seriously understaffed.

To be more accurate, he noted he had been "immunized," and that creates its own set of questions on if he's truly vaccinated or if he's speaking to simply having built up natural antibodies from possibly contracting the virus on a previous occasion.

Oh yes, he had been "immunized,"

If you knew someone in RPA who died because of an employee who was unvaccinated?

I would say to Mr. Dubé that those who don't want to be vaccinated must be tested every time they come to work and pay for their tests.
