Torts gets a 15 day suspension for his actions last Saturday night in the game vs the Flames.
Better yet he was not on the sauce or he likely would have drilled Torts. McGrattan has been sober for a long time now.

If I may be so bold as to ask, why did Calgary coach Hartley send out the 4th line for the opening faceoff of the game? Is this not totally disrespecting the game of hockey and the fans who paid money to see the best players? I paid $180 to see Montreal play Philly earlier this year and if either coach sent out 4th line players I would have been furious.
This would be like Joe Girardi sending out a AAA pitcher callup to pitch the 1st inning of a Yankees regular season game. You would never see it happen no matter who the opponent is. He plays to win at all times. I think Torts responded the only way he could because he had to protect his 1st line players from goons. I also interpret Torts' actions as standing up to someone who completely disrespected the game of hockey. Fuck Hartley, he should have been suspended for turning a professional hockey game into a farce.

There is a history of bad blood between both coaches that stems from their days in the AHL about 20 years ago. Many think Brian Burke may have been behind Calgary's actions as well because he has stated he wants the Flames to be bigger and tougher to play against.

David Poile is no dummy..he got himself a good deal..if Del Zotto gels with Shea Weber or Seth Jones..he could be very good for Nashville
We also needed to get tougher in Rangerland, as Derek Dorsett broke his leg, and all Sather could do was trade for Carcillo ??

p.s. Had the Leafs come back from a 3 games to 1 deficit in last season's playoffs against Boston, the Bruins would have been known as the biggest choke artists in the history of the NHL!! Just think about it...the Leafs were down 3-1 and won their next games to make it 3-3....led 4-1 in the final game in the third...THE BRUINS CAME FROM A WHSKER OF BEING THE BIGGEST CHOKE ARTISTS OF ALL TIME!!! :lol:
