Do you think escorting should be completely legalized and regulated?

The main argument I hear against this is from women that say sex work is exploitative and no women do it of their own free will and that legalizing it will only help sex traffickers. I asked this on another forum and I got some pretty angry responses. I would like to hear your opinions on this.

Hi everyone! Thanks for putting this thread together and taking the time to answer our questions :)
I’ve heard differing answers from various providers but wanted to set the tale straight- when is the “low season” for business in Canada/Montreal? I have a busy work schedule and am trying to find the best time to take a more extended break to visit some of my favorite providers in the area. Was thinking perhaps late fall or winter would be best, but it is amazing seeing gorgeous ladies in their summer minidresses, heels, and sandals!

It’s different for everyone. Some of my peers had a rough January and that was my best month of the year.

Winter is a bit rough for some because there’s a lot of family holidays and vacations so clients that are partnered up cannot really sneak out so easily.

I always do CBJ, but I'm getting tempted to go with BBBJ or CIM if it's offered.

You can do CIM safely if the receiver has their mouth wide open and the giver just tries to shoot with as much precision as possible.

No. Sex work should be decriminalized, not legalized, it's completely different.

We don't want the government to be regulating and controlling sex work. Most sex workers choose this path because it allows them a better quality of life, a lot of sex workers can't work a 9 to 5 jobs for health reasons, don't have their immigration papers yet, are in school and don't want to work long shifts while focusing on their studies.. etc etc. Also, in this situation we can hide what we do from the rest of society, which wouldn't be the case if the government was controlling it. I'm face out but I know providers whose friends and even partners don't know that they're doing this work.

However, a lot of studies have actually indicated that criminalizing sex workers and their clients actually make sex trafficking cases higher because it pushes the whole network underground.

A question for gents :

Does it bother you when providers talk about their job during the booking? I'm not talking about describing experiences with clients, more like chatting about our daily lives as an escort. Many clients like to ask questions about it, so I got used to talking about it very candidly, and I realized that maybe it's a turn off or impolite.. :(

I guess a broader question would be.. are there subjects you don't like providers to talk about during bookings?
Maybe I’m in the weird minority but I actually find it a huge turn on when providers talk about their “dirty details” during dates, including past encounters or their "favorite moments." I wouldn't say I'm a voyeur type, but its incredible to hear about the breadth of sexual experiences in your lives and the kinks you've helped fulfill, as well as the things that gave you the best experiences during sex! Fun to get the juxtaposition between that and the (broad strokes) of what your "outside life" as regular workers or students are...

Just to be clear, this is only safe for the giver. Received is still at risk of catching STIs

Not all escort is registered to pay GST/QST, some make less than 30K a year. But some are. I wish I could charge my rates + tx, but an all-inclusive rate is expected. And I won't mention "taxes included" for privacy purposes. It's not because you don't see something that it doesn't exist!

Does it mean we don't declare money? It is necessary to pay taxes, and sales taxes past a certain point, to pay substantial expenses, save and have at least a bit of a retirement fund. Anyone working in cash industries should declare a minimum of their earnings, and some are smart and treat it as a legitimate business.

If you don't believe I do invoices, voluntarily deposit my cash in my bank accounts and pay my taxes instalments quarterly, I don't care.
Maybe you do but not everyone. It is exactly like anyone working for cash, they declare the amount they want

Only irresponsible people or people that don’t think about the future and consequences go their whole life without paying taxes.

I know it sucks but it’s in your best interest.

About the relationship question. I am an artist and I kinda live in the margins of society, I have good friends and a lot of acquaintances and I don't keep what I do a secret, which is why I'm face out. A lot of people in my friend group have done some type of sex work before, whether it's dancing, escorting, sugaring, camming or onlyfans. I do feel judged by my peers sometimes, but I don't think it's as stigmatized in my social circles as it is elsewhere. I was in a serious relationship for almost a year and my partner knew I was a SP. I'm not super excited about dating lately, but if I entered a relationship with someone they would know what I do for work right away. I don't like secrets. I've also dated other SP's before I became one and it wasn't an issue with me.

Would you work with agencies again ? Or you prefer to be independent?

I've considered it. I've worked at mp's and the experience drained me and was really bad for my health. Offering a gfe service for a really low rate to 5 guys a shift is not my thing. I've heard horror stories about working for agencies.. some sp's do well but it's not for me. I wouldn't be able to offer a good service at an agency and my health would suffer.

I know that working for an agency has its advantages, someone else is doing the booking for you, you don't have to deal with people harassing you, your schedule is more consistent. But I like the freedom that working as an independent gives me. I love clients of indy's and usually have great experiences with them. :) I like going on social dates and having different types of experiences. I like being my own boss and I always have.
