Has anyone ever brought to you an inexperienced person to be initiated. I have been told by 2 SPs that they have had several; brothers, cousins, friends bring someone to gain some experience.
No, and if that happened I would refuse. I've had a few friends tell me that on their 18th birthday a father figure or older friend took them to see a SP and they were really traumatized and upset by the experience. If someone with little or no experience wants to book me, I will see them, but not if they are brought by someone else because the person could have been pressured. Consent is really important to me.
It’s great to have good genes thank God!
''Naturally beautiful'' is a social construct in my opinion.. I've always been told I was naturally beautiful but I still prefer wearing makeup when I see clients or when I go on a date or hang out with friends. I don't think women wear makeup because they are unattractive..... We wear makeup because yes on one hand it enhances our looks in a subtle way, but also because it's an art and can be part of a fashion style.

Also like I said earlier, makeup doesn't drastically change anybody's face at all unless they are a drag queen or using theater or drag makeup techniques which are extremely time consuming.

Especially you have beautiful blue eyes so it just adds to your attractiveness

That's why I'm wondering sometimes if asking questions to clients here is that great of an idea. I try to make conversation, but the vast majority of clients who participate actively in this forum are not my clientele, no matter how appealing I try to be to them.. I usually get booked by people who don't participate in the forum or only ever made a few posts..

I also agree that it's so hard to find a balance between reflecting who we are to attract the right clients for us, and wanting to please the most clients possible..... but I'm also realizing that there isn't a typical client, or that clients fall into different categories.. What I've noticed tho is that certain opinions here are more popular than others, yet they don't necessarily reflect what everyone else thinks. and the clients who have different opinions probably don't always feel comfortable to express them.
Thats probably because the active members here represent a very small percentage of the overall population of potential clients out there.

Yes, I'm sure most of us adapt for the "workplace", but I'm not sure the few clients who participated in this thread are representative of my personal (or anyone else's) clientele. If I targeted my clients to reflect my preferences I'd be having better experiences ...probably, but definitely not making enough to make ends meet.
It's true that the people here aren't representative of your regular clientele, but they don't need to be in this example, since the preferences aren't tied to hobbying in general, but rather to an overall gender perspective. Whether men prefer makeup or not isn't tied to whether they're mongers or not (or tats, piercings, fake boobs, whatever), but rather what the general group of men prefer, of which hobbyists are a small subset. They're probably still reflective of the whole though. As I mentioned before, you decide how big you want your boutique to be and adjust accordingly to bring enough feet to your door. I have absolutely no idea what that means in your case, or Luna's, or anyone else's, just that it's an individual choice. Still, the more direct information you have from the market the better informed you are about what choices you should be making. There's no right or wrong here.

ok well with a sample size of like 6 (?), no one should use this for a statistical analysis.

Not if you're only counting MERB men, but the evidence is available in numerous studies tied to men at large. Anyway, it doesn't really matter, as everyone will do what they want to do anyway and I don't want to suck up too much oxygen on this. I'll just say again that there's no right or wrong way to go.

I can't be bothered to invest the time, honestly. I'm not managing a business tied to the issue, and not managing anyone's preferences but my own, so I don't really care much. It's pretty well known anecdotally. If someone else wants to do the heavy liftng then more power to them.

That's very true. And a lot of the active members seem to favor agencies and parlor over indies and seem to have certain opinions about rates and looks.......

just a reminder that not all clients view themselves as ''hobbyists'' and a LOT of clients have only seen escorts a few times, only hire escorts on occasion, only see an escort or two after a traumatic incident or during a period of grief, or see the same person all the time. that includes inactive members of this board who are just using it to see if someone is legit or not or looking at ads. i'd say most of my clients are not men who consider themselves ''hobbyists'' and they tend to have slightly different reasons for seeing escorts. I've met some clients who were active on this board and they are lovely tho :)

also studies are often unreliable, are based on a certain demographic only (for example mostly middle class white men from a certain geographic area) or are reflective of popular beliefs of the time. what's considered attractive now isn't what was considered attractive 20 years ago. and a lot of it is psychological.. for example a lot of clients may say they don't like fake boobs but they might not even realize that someone has them because results look and feel very natural now.

That is really an interesting topic.
What is a hobbyist and who thinks of themselves as a hobbyists.

I personally don’t even like the name and certainly don’t consider myself that and hope the ladies I see don’t either.

To me a hobbyist is someone who sees as many women as possible and most often for an hour or less.
A guy who is more interested on being able to put as many notches on his revolver as possible and finds gratification and to be able to boast about how many women he has slept with. I never really understood the attraction or the need for this.

While I probably spent more time with an SP than most, this year I have seen basically 2 women the whole year and one in a duo once with one of the 2.
I like and care about the women I am seeing and we are friends not just SP/client I have known them for years and consider myself lucky to have such caring and kind women in my life who are total sweethearts and so nice to spend time with.

I feel like clients came up with the expression ''the hobby'' and call themselves hobbyists.. I'm not a huge fan of those terms.

And while I don't think it's a bad thing for someone to see many SP's, some of us refer to a certain type of client as hobbyists.. And yes, it's clients who are very demanding, try to get more for less, book short periods of time, see many SP's, complain about things like rates and boundaries, and love writing reviews (that are often negative or extremely explicit)... They are treating us like a product to be sampled rather than a human being.. and they use a certain language. (''ymmv'', ''no repeat'', ''gnd'', ''the menu'' etc lol)

I don't think most clients think of seeing escorts as a hobby, but a lot of men on review boards and reddit do... It's a certain way of perceiving the experience. If someone who wasn't a client of escorts told me it's his hobby to have sex with different women he doesn't get to know I would find it pretty disturbing too lol ... there's something dehumanizing about it.

It’s about respect and good company and having someone comfortable with your fetishes I find!

I never really understood why the term hobbyists is used also? Is it really a hobby for most guys who see escorts? Maybe that Word gets used because some hobbies have an addictive nature. As stated, each guy might have very different reasons for seeing escorts. I remember A few years ago, one guy stating on a similar thread, it was his only way of fucking younger women. He got a rush from seeing young women. he was married and with kids. Some use escorts to fulfill a certain fetish or fantasy that they could never fulfill with their partner. Worlds “ oldest profession”?? Has been there for all types of reasons.and it didn’t start yesterday.

I just think someone came up with the term « hobby » because service seeker or client was to direct in the early days of these kind of forums. Also it’s a good term when you can’t face the facts of what it really is ... a bit like « aficionado » for cigar smokers or « tasting wines » to cover the facts that smoking is bad and tasting wines every day makes you an alcoholic ...

My point exactly, it's not a hobby and honestly in my opinion ''wanting to fuck young women'' isn't a need lol. I don't personally feel the need to fuck very young women or men, maybe because I don't objectify these people. I also disagree that hobbies generally have an addictive nature, except maybe for video games, but most people who play video games aren't addicted to them.

I don't think seeing escorts necessarily make you a sex addict tho. But I see your point, someone who has an unhealthy way of seeking services from escorts may use that term to avoid facing the issues behind their behavior.
