Sorry Montreal. Go Rangers! My brothers and friends are scattered to hell and gone since the Rangers won it in '94, but we're already making plans to get together again to watch the Cup games. Awesome!!

BOYZ,

He as been better than lunvqist taking all the pressure to a team who only believed in Price ! 2 wins...

Yeah, you guys were all ready to quit on your team when Price went down. The whiney excuses were rampant until Tokarsky showed he can also play very well.

BYE BYE Canadiens.

We lost too many player starting with Price even if Tokarsky made a great impression. Argghhhhh going to bed !

A 1-0 game is about being beaten as a team, especially right after scoring 7 goals the game before with the same team.

Solid performance from the Rangers. Habs were outplayed. Rangers have done well against both LA and Chicago in regular season. But both of those teams are the 2 most recent champions. So they have recent experience of the finals. My vote is for LA.

Perfect game by Lundqvist who made some miracles (his incredible stop with his backhand was spectacular and decisive). But the great swedish champion he is must be sad not to had Price, one of the best goalie of the planet to face him and see who was the best in this serie.

Thx to Canadiens who made a great season, gave a lot of fun to their fans and bravely hold Canada's colour untill Conf Finale... :canada:

To be honest, I don't think Price would've mattered. It was our offense that made us lose. Tokorski played very well, and deserves to be commended.

Tokorski is good goalie, Price is one of the best of the world.

And tonight, Lundqvist showed the difference between being a good goalie and being one of the best goalie of the planet.

I can't remember who said that in PLayoffs, you need 2 things : 1/ A top goalie 2/ Some players to play around him

If the Rangers win the Stanley Cup nothing would top it in New York City other than the Yankees winning the World Series. They would not only have the requisite parade on Wall Street in the "Canyon of Heroes", I believe they would also have a mock coronation at City Hall with Lundqvist not only being handed the city keys but also a crown- the same crown worn by the Statue of Liberty. We can dream, right?

In truth LA Kings look tough. Do you guys realize that the the top 4 scorers in the NHL playoffs (led by Kopitar) all play for LA? If it is LA vs. NY it is offense vs. defense......

I am not trying to take anything away from Lundqvist.

Ya Rangers won but the Canadiens lost.

I will ! If it wasn't for the Great Wall of the rangers Lundqvist wouldn't have won a game ! Tokarsky a goalie from the American League has come toe to toe in the last three games making some great saves ! Even you Mits you could have goalie that third period (your eyes are so distracting ;) )!

Therrien got out coached in the last game ! We were missing key players like Emelin and Prust dint light any fire between the teams to higher up the emotions and take the mental game from the blue shirt by making them take stupid penalties .

Goooooooooooood morning, :D

You're a disturber of the peace, Merlot!

I just wrote a fact bud, without digging low for poor sport trashy insults like your...ahem..."lady" fan after the Boston series. But Mitsou is half right this time. After scoring 7 times in the last game and driving out Lundqvist the Canadiens offense was pitiful, especially when managing only 5 shots in the 3rd period with the year on the line. Sure the Rangers played solid defense, but with the end looming where was the Canadien's heart at the end.

I disagree with this. Lundqvist barely had any pressure on him the whole game except for ONE shift by the Canadiens. 18 shots in an elimination game and 5 in the 3rd period when you are down 1-0. It was a terrible way to bow out of the playoffs on the Canadiens behalf. Other than Tokarski they were pathetic and deserved to lose.
The Canadiens in the span of the playoffs played a couple of games where they played solid 60 minutes. The rest of the time they won through luck or goaltending. :

Yes Gurge, quite a "disturber of the peace".

To be honest, I don't think Price would've mattered. It was our offense that made us lose. Tokorski played very well, and deserves to be commended.

True. What Price might have been able to do is speculation. He can be great, but anyone can let in one goal and even Price rarely has shut outs. When your team can't score at all it really doesn't matter who your goalie is. Tokarsky faced almost twice as many shots (32) last night and did very well in other the games. But even Price like any goalie needs some offensive support to win.

Cheers folks,

Merlot

"Tarsky" played well but maybe the Canadians should have called on the great Cristobal Huet! Sadly the import from france would have been a worse option for the former "glorious" (haha) team of 21 years ago..... Go Kings Go!
Perfect game by Lundqvist who made some miracles

Thx to Canadiens :canada:

Maybe one day you will get your wish to meet Marc Bergevin. Good luck next season, cant wait til opening night, Leafs and Habs like always!

You know Merlot I've really had it with you. This is the 6th comment directed at me for having my own opinion. :

Mitsou,

You're counting...geeeeeeeez...and no notice of how I agreed with your assessment?

You were very harsh, even after winning the series. Now you act like you should get a pass. Why? As an egalitarian I treat male and female posters the same. I've always objected to going too far with trash talk your Leafs fan buddy has been rampant with thousands of times. Yet, you are running over with anger because of JUST 6 POSTS. Really??? Remarkable. I haven't criticized the comments of others...on subject? Really??? Remarkable!!! Irrational.

If you are going to rip my team with over-the-top ugly nonsense stereotypes don't expect to be treated like a frail lady...expect to be treated like a rival fan, PERIOD!

BTW...I've always known and said my use of French is poorly inadequate. The good French people on this board have still been appreciative of the attempts. Yet you get personal and go on with a subject that has nothing to do with hockey. How does that speak well for you??? Is it going beyond the rules??? This has no relation to talking hockey?

I suggest you chill your ample temper and deal with posts that are WITHIN the rules as any of us do, man...or woman. I've never called you a name and I'm done with your anger. Good luck.

Lundqvistia.

Good luck to her.

:D
