Pitt is picking the right time of year to get hot and they are looking very dangerous. It is awesome to see Kris Letang fully recovered from the stroke he had and playing at the top of his game so soon after. Boston needs game 4 in Montreal somehow/someway. Without Price, this series would have been a sweep for the bears.

If the habs win tonigth ! It's done for the bears . Yes it's because Price is so hot that we are in such a good position against the brun . We still need more from Deharnais line at least the kill shot goal .
The glorious are at the top mentally they're playing perfectly without getting in trouble with bad penaltys and Rask is showing how bad he realy is !

Go habs Go

I thought you promised to stay out of the sports threads until after GG4 is over?

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelcome back little buddy. :D Now it feels like the hockey thread. Just be nicerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Note to 77777, the video shows why Boston fans hate Subban, this deliberate chicken-shit candy ass cheap stuff knocking the posts off their mounts. He runs into it with no other contact for an excuse. Anyone who says this isn't total crap hockey has their lips super-glued to PK's butt. If the refs could have shown any balls at the Bell Centre...it's a penalty shot.

But I agree the Bruins are in trouble if they play the next game the same as game 3. They were too concerned with Montreal having a man advantage and failed to play tough Bruins hockey. That's not how they became the winningest team this year. Price has been a bit over his head, but they beat him once doing it their way. They need to return to that physical style regardless of the risk, just don't get carried away and miss scoring chances.

Price have good statistics, but not that many miracle stops. Bruins are clumsy anddon't really wait for a good position to hit.

I don't think the "no penalties strategy" is the good one either for the bruins. If I were them, I would play on my strengh. The fact referees give less penalties during playoffs should encourage them to play even tougher.. Bruins have to find the key and Julien doesn't really help them to.

On the other side considering they are so good in 3rd period, maybe they should just control the CH during the 2first period (they always finish it with a 2goals handicap). They look too much in a hurry (like "we are the stronger, they won't resist"). The time play for them. They even have an interest in making some overtimes in the serie to increase even more their physical advantage. Time is really playing for them. Why are they so impatient ? Probably a little bit of arrogance, but more surely a lack of coaching...

Give credit where credit is due, Montreal Canadiens, as a team, are playing really well. Price is playing exceptionally well.

No doubt Ballsamic, with 6-1 in playoffs, at least 3goal scored at every matches, leading 2-1 against the fav of the competition, Montreal is the best NHL team since the beginning of the playoffs.. But we all know what could happened to the teams that start so well...

I watched the video replay and from what I can tell is that Subban tried to cut in close, in order to skate behind the net and his arm hit the post.

I do not believe he wanted a face-off in their end, let alone, a penalty shot.

Cheap shots to me, for example, is a player who lifts his stick between a player's legs.

I will say that, he is an agitator, in the same style, as Brad Marchand.

Boston has to play the way they played in the regular season, physical and dirty in order to win this.

Take a penalty and let us see what happens. Montreal won 3 out of 4 even when Boston played them during the season.

Good luck tonight.

And the LA Kings and Chicago Blackhawks are dog shit?

That's not because you talk about the best team since the beginning that the 2nd and 3rd are dogshit... They are both 6-3 in playoffs. And it's always a pleasure to see the blackhwaks playing... Moreover, in the contrary to Montreal, there is no surprise to see those teams at this level...

I wouldn't go so far as to say that they are the best team in the playoffs.

The best team wins the Stanley Cup and time will tell who will be THE BEST.

Randy Carlyle is a very good coach. The only thing that turned me off is when he said that his YOUNG goalie played WELL enough in one of many losses.

Shouldering a loss on a young goalie, to me, was classless.

Never did he mention any other player or players who deserved to be mentioned.

All the assistant coaching staff were fired (minus Rick St-Croix). They'll be looking at more player-friendly assistants. I had heard last season that trying to talk to Gordon or Cronyn was like talking to a brick wall if you were a player. Dave Farrish was fired for being grossly incompetent as the assistant-coach in charge of the defence. The other two were fired for the reasons i mentionned & also because special teams performed poorly last season (especially the pk).

BOYZ,

NO. I've played and I can avoid the posts better than that, especially to avoid injury with those heavy metal posts. Self-preservation alone should have kept him from hitting it with the directness he had, unless he felt it was worth the risk...ie...with the game on the line.

I do not believe he wanted a face-off in their end, let alone, a penalty shot.

What are the odds of being scored on from a face-off versus a penalty shot...it's a huge difference.

Cheap shots to me, for example, is a player who lifts his stick between a player's legs.

To me it's anything purposely against the rules. I didn't call it a cheap shot, but it sure was a cheap play.

I will say that, he is an agitator, in the same style, as Brad Marchand.

Note to 77777, I agree with Ballsamic. How much do Canadiens fans hate Marchand? About equal to how Bruins fans hate PK. No race involved either way. BTW: noting some of the posts in this thread, there's a lot more bile Canadiens fans have shown against Chara, Lucic, and others than that against PK. Plus we don't boo national anthems or call those who do anti-American. We understand doing so is passion...and... TOTAL LACK OF CLASS AND CHARACTER.

Boston has to play the way they played in the regular season, physical and dirty in order to win this.

Yes, but hard hitting hockey is not "dirty". Using sticks, elbows, knees, blades in any way improper with the intention of injury is dirty.

Regarding the questionable move SK referred to that PK made in an earlier game to dodge a hit, I have to disagree that this was dirty or cheap. Any player has a perfect right to avoid a hit as long as he doesn't use anything improperly to do so. I didn't see that in the video.

Take a penalty and let us see what happens. Montreal won 3 out of 4 even when Boston played them during the season.

If a team must fail you fail with what brought you here. Yes, make some adjustments where necessary, but don't try to turn into something you're not.

Good luck tonight.

The Canadiens have succeeded in taking Boston off it's game and exploiting opportunities. But without a hot Price........................

The Canadiens fans shouldn't get to excited if they win this series. Just like Red Sox v Yankees it's no more than bragging points without the trophy. As people said the Canadiens match up well against the Bruins, other teams left...NOT.

Cheers.
